a. Description Minimum Equipment List (MEL) is a document that allows for

the operation of a specific condition with a particular item(s) of
equipment at the time of dispatch for the intended flight. It
includes the use of the operational documents to ensure that
the trainee is able to correctly diagnose failures and take the
necessary corrective actions.

b. Duration 8 Hours theoretical

c. Objectives Upon completion of the course, the trainee shall be able to:

1. Identify the minimum equipment and conditions for an

aircraft to maintain conformity with the standards of
airworthiness and to meet the operating rules for the type
of operation;
2. Define the operational procedures necessary to maintain
the required level of safety and to deal with inoperative
equipment;
3. Define guidelines for personnel/division in handling the
Minimum Equipment List items in order to facilitate
rectification of a problem in aircraft systems and
components.
