a. Activity/Motivation:
Teacher and pupils read the poem “All Things Bright and Beautiful” to
the class.
The poem is written on the manila paper.
Pupils point out the rhyming words in each stanza of the poem.
b. Unlocking of Difficulties:

c. Presentation:
Focus on the following target words to unlock their meaning
through the suggested strategies. Teacher present a: “Poem”
1. How are the mountains purple headed?
2. What kind of creatures the God has created?
3. What is the name of creature in the poem?
d. Discussion:
Focus on these ideas:
Rhyming words are two or more words that have the same or
similar ending sound.
Examples:
goat, boat, moat, float, coat
skull, dull, null, tull, gull, cul
e. Generalization:
Remember these:
A rhyme is a repetition of similar sounds (usually the same sound)
in the final stressed syllables and any following syllables of two or more
words. Most often, this kind of perfect rhyming is consciously used for
effect in the final positions of lines of poems and songs.
