Project Proposal for the Launching of Our Lady of Victory’s 65th Anniversary

Project Summary:

This project is called “Launching of Our Lady of Victory’s 65th Anniversary”. It

is being done for the purpose of bringing awareness to our parishioners, as well as
to our fellow church workers, that our church will be celebrating its 65th year comes
07 October 2020. This is to prepare the entire OLVP community for the upcoming
activities that will highlight the said event in order for them to come up with ideas
to make this event a memorable one. The OLVP-CCH will spearhead the said event
through announcements during masses, distribution of printed materials like
tarpaulins and posters to different puroks through their purok leaders and media
advertisements through the supervision of the Committee on Liturgical Media.
Promotion will begin as soon as all the needed requirements for promotion are
accomplished until before the day of the event itself.

Project Background:

The Launching of Our Lady of Victory’s 65th Anniversary is a grand

celebration anticipated by the OLVP community in the year 2020. This will
showcase the new face of OLVP as the landmark of Barangay Dau through the efforts
that will be utilized by the Commission on Church Heritage, a feat that will be the
first of its kind in OLVP history.

Our Lady of Victory Parish was the first ever chapel of Barrio Dau in the then
residence of Bro. Manuel Manabat to whom this brief history owes its source. About
the year 1932, the chapel was transferred to the location where it stands today due
to the generosity and efforts of the siblings Cecilia (Apung Siliang) and Don Pedro
Samson.
In October 1, 1955, the chapel was elevated into parish under the titulage of
Our Lady of Victory Parish whose feast day falls on the 7th of October, by then
Bishop Cezar Ma. Guerrero, D.D. with Rev. Fr. Fernando Franco as the first parish
priest. (2012, Souvenir program. 60th Anniversary of the Chapel of Our Lady of
Victory).

Project objectives:

The launching aims to bring awareness to the whole populace in order to

inspire the people to participate in church activities, motivate the members to
propagate the faith and work together for the unity and progress of the Christian
community of our beloved parish. The singing of OLVP theme song “Dalit King Indu
Ning Tagumpe” by Fr. Cadiang, will be encouraged to familiarize the community of
its existence.

Project Methodology

The overall approach to the project is as follows:

 The OLVP-CCH Committee on Liturgical Media will be in charge of the
promotions/advertisements with the help of the Executive Committee
 The committee will be using multimedia tools such as tarpaulins, posters,
teasers that can be seen on TV monitors inside the church before and after
the mass and personal announcement by our parish priest or representative
from the commission.
 Update on the upcoming event will be done constantly

Project budget
Every project entails a certain amount of resources in order for it to move
forward and fulfill its goals. This project demands a small amount of capital for the
layout and printing of tarpaulin and posters. Other costs will be updated as the
project progresses.

Conclusion
Being one of the most awaited celebrations in the OLVP community, the
launching of the event one year ahead of time is a sure way to motivate the church
workers as well as the churchgoers to actively participate and experience the beauty
and grandeur of church activities in a manner that will inculcate awareness and
passion in everyone’s hearts to continually engage in this kind of festivity.
