ASSIGNMENT #3

Letter To The Editor, load

shedding of electricity;

A-B-C
I hope that you are doing well, may you achieve more
success and honor in your field of expertise. I’ve
witnessed with my eyes how you’ve been so active and
concerned for the prosperity of Pakistan.
But how can a country run without the regulation of
power electricity, when the world is completely
dependent on the tools of electricity from the science
laboratories to the medical hospitals from the world of IT
to the world of law?
Because everything that comes in the process of practical
application needs electricity to proceed.
Pakistan has become 115th among 137 countries
for reliable electricity and 50M people lack access to grid
electricity. Power sector inefficiencies harm businesses
and consumers. In 2015, distortions in Pakistan's power
sector cost the economy the equivalent 7% of GDP.
The report analyze distortions in the full power
supply cycle. The problem begins with an upstream
supply due to underpricing the gas which leads to lower
production and more waste. Almost 1/5 of the generated
electricity is lost due to poor infrastructure, fault
metering, and theft.
As a nation we want stabilized, prosperous country
and a bright future in it. In the regime of PTI many
projects have been listed up and the Pakistan installed
capacity to generate electricity has surged up to
29,573MW by February 2018, which stood at 22,812MW
in June 2013. It is appreciative though.
I hope this can reduce load shedding in our country soon,
INSHA-ALLAH! I think we should look upon how we can
save electricity.
More blessings!
