The name Panabo originated from the word
"pana-sa-baboy" means "bow and arrow"
that panabonian incestor used to hunt a
wild animal. Panabo become city in the
year of 1950. Panabo, until then only a
barangay of Tagum, known as Magugpo
during that time, became a town on 19
July 1949, tagum also known as the
mother of panabo city.

City Hall of Panabo City was located

from the boundary of Davao City. The
City Hall was officially the City
of Panabo, or simply referred to
as Panabo City is a 3rd class city in the
Davao Del Norte. which the mayor
office located and all of the government
officials.

Museum is located in the Panabo city, museum was contributed to the realization of
museum and the main attraction and the beauty of this Indigenous art and cultural
materials are being displayed. Panabo city government through its city tourism office
holds the old Panabo City Hall which has been converted into a museum which houses
the cultural and historical facts of Panabo .

 Araw ng Panabo
The celebration of panabo's cityhood in
a span of over two weeks was
successful as smile on panaboan's
faces were seen during opening
ceremonies until the festivity's end on
March 31 through its culmanation
program. an annual celebration in
Panabo City usually held from March 20
to 31. This is an event celebrated to
honor Panabo becoming a component
city (it was formerly a barangay of
Tagum). During these days, a series of
civic and multicultural shows will take
place, as well as presentations that
embody and embrace the beauty that is
found only in Panabo.

The Celebration of Paskohan in Panabo

Paskohan in Panabo City happened in the month of December

five (5) which the people live in Panabo is engaged for sharing
and giving to the others Panaboians for Christmas day . Paskohan
was the traditional celebration of every Panaboians and it's
happening every year.
 History of Banana Plantation

Owing to the numerous banana plantations scattered around the

city, panabo is known as the "Banana capital of the Philippines."
Coincidentally, its home to the largest banana plantation in the
world, the Tagum Agricultural Development Corporation or
TADECO. TADECO occupies around 6,000 hectares of banana
fields and is responsible for production of millions of boxes of
bananas for export.

Plantation, he work as a harvester
and he consume for 15 days payment
four thousand eight hundred pesos
(P4,800). He worked for 7 years in
Ranain Banana Plantation.
