Narrative Report of Accomplishment

July 2018, when I started this project by conducting a pre-planning

activity together with my Troop Leader Mrs. Ma Eulalia Estela Mananay and
my Assistant Troop Leader Mrs. Heidi D. Rabutan. We then asked the
permission of then former principal Mr. Rayki A. Buat to conduct the said
project. After which, permission was also asked from the Barangay Captain
Manuel J. Dela Cruz who gave me a formal consent to commence the
project.

The project was finally launched on September 9, 2018 at Purok 4,

Curvada, New Baclayon, Malalag, Davao del Sur. Present in the launching
were the Purok President – Mr. Jaime Mejias, Brgy. Kagawad Christopher
Garcia, Purok workers and my parents. After the launching, my work group
started to encourage more participants and volunteers to initiate the clean
up. I distributed more solicitation letters to secure financial assistance that
could cover the expenses of the project. I was so delighted that numerous
donors have given their assistance through cash and materials.

To beautify the purok, we painted it with colors that could attract

attention of the passersby. We mounted tires that were colored in bright
pastel colors that serves as a mini parkour/bench for the children’s
playground. Tires and bottles were also used as garden exteriors and were
colorfully painted and the garden was planted with vegetables and flowers.
Some vegetables such as pechay, alugbati, eggplant, kangkong,
malunggay, okra and etc. were planted in used tires, bottles and plants. It
was nice and pleasing to the eyes.
The purok is now beautified and has its new and fresh look. Many
people now recognize its transformation and started to visit the place.

In addition to the project, I have been helping our community in

different ways, aside from the leadership trainings, conferences, and other
activities; I have been teaching our community children proper ways on
disposing trashes, plotting and cleaning the lawn among other ways to help
our environment.

All this would not be possible, if not with the help and support of my
parents and my family, the community o Barangay Baclayon in Malalag,
advisers, my classmates and friends who constantly cheered me. You guys
have been there through my every ups and downs, you all encouraged me
to keep going. To the barangay officials for their support and response, to all
the sponsors who provided us with their material and financial help. Lastly,
to our Almighty Father God for without His benevolent guidance and
protection, everything would be impossible.
