In this age that we live in, we Christians are on a daily struggle to fight for our beliefs.

Most
individuals in our generation decide not to even care about religion, especially teenagers who decide to
idolize celebrities instead. Atheists are trying to prove that there are many things about the Bible that made
no sense, whether logically or emotionally. Then, there are the humanists who strongly believe that human
experience and rational thinking provide the only sources of both knowledge and a moral code to live by.
They are convinced that the book was written solely by humans in an ignorant, superstitious, and cruel age.
As disciples of Christ, it is our duty to withstand and fight against any falsehoods relating to our beliefs. It is
our duty to defend the inerrant truth which is the Bible.

As we have been taught, the Bible is inspired. Authors from different origins were all inspired by
God to write His very words. However, many atheists, specifically the humanists, have argued that the
Bible has many contradictions in its written text, making it “unreliable” and “untrustworthy”. Upon research,
the contradictions were merely their misinterpretation or misconception of the passages. An example is in
Luke 12:10, “And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto
him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.” and Romans 10:13, “For whosoever
shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Humanists argue on why blasphemy against the Holy
Spirit is unforgivable as stated in the former passage but then in the latter, it is implied that any sins will be
forgiven if we call upon the name of the Lord. First of all, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit acts as a
rejection of Jesus Christ's offer of salvation, his free gift of eternal life, and thus, his forgiveness from sin.
How can you expect to be saved from sin if you rejected Christ’s offer of salvation in the first place?

Lastly, the Bible is inerrant because it is correct in terms of morals, science, and history. It is
morally correct because it guides to live a good life in accordance with God’s will. It is scientifically correct
because in several cases, it states scientific facts that are 100% accurate to this day. For example, Isaiah
40:22 says, “God sits above the circle of the earth.” The Book of Isaiah was written between 760 and 700
BC; way before Pythagoras sometime around 500 B.C first proposed that the Earth was round. The Bible is
historically correct as well because biblical figures such as King Hezekiah, Nebuchadnezzar II, and King
Herod also appear in other historical accounts.

To close my speech, let us not allow the teachings of mere humans sway or falter our belief in the
existence of God and in the inerrancy of His Scripture. Let us always remember 2 Timothy 3:16 that the
Bible is God-breathed and since God is perfect, then so is the Bible.
