Housing Rehabilitation
This program provides funding to local governments for low-income
homeowner and rental rehabilitation and for demolishing dilapidated
residential structures.

NCRPC can provide:

❖Inspection services

Maximum grant funding is $250,000


(with some exceptions)

All communities applying for a CDBG housing grant must complete


the Housing Assessment Tool (HAT).

BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
Water/Sewer and Community Facilities CDBG
must meet 1 of 3 national objectives, including:
1. The project benefits low- and moderate-income individuals
or limited clientele.
2. The project removes or prevents slum or blight condition.
3. The project eliminates an urgent need created by a disaster
when local funds are unavailable.

Grants require a 50% match to stay


competitive. This match can be from loans,
bonds, local cash or other grant funding.

• Munden (57.69%) • Republic (64.71%)

Any Cities not listed can complete a LMI Survey of


households to show you are over 51% LMI. Every other
City is Republic County is over 40% LMI according to
the census numbers.

• Wastewater Treatment

❖ The funding ceiling for a water or sewer


grant is $2,000 per beneficiary with a
maximum of $600,000 per grant.

❖ All applicants for water or sewer grants must have met with the Kansas
Interagency Advisory Committee (KIAC) prior to the application due date.
The KIAC is good for two consecutive calendar program years.
