I’m writing in response to your recently advertised position for a Musical Director. I am
very interested in this opportunity with Carnegie Hall and believe that my credentials,
professional expertise and specific skills will make me an ideal candidate for this
opportunity.

I am a professional musician whose personal experience in booking and working in the

music industry could help further Carnegie’s Halls goals. As the leader of the Luis
Alexander Band, I have personal overseen all the facets of putting on a show. I am well
versed in booking acts, setting up music programs, marketing and the day to day of a
music venue. I am a detail orientated person, which will ensure that no stone goes
unturned when it comes to making all the necessary preparations for a successful
performance. Having been in the education world for 10+ years, I can provide Carnegie
Hall with connections that could more specifically advance its community involvement. I
believe that no one understands the music industry like a musician in the industry does.
My 10+ years of experience give me the necessary knowledge to provide a fusion
between the needs of the musicians and the needs of Carnegie Hall. My leadership in a
variety ensembles, including the Luis Rodriguez Trio, have given me the skill set to
effectively lead a production team at Carnegie Hall.
