Inspect the storage area it is recommended to stored inside the cool
room, with criteria as per manufacturer recommendation as below : □ □

- Storage temperature 15 - 25 deg celcius
- Suhu penyimpanan 15-25 derajat celcius

Ensure all tag and marking are in place and in good condition, no damage and

- Visually check coating condition. It shall be in good condition. If peel coating

found, grind out with paper sand (proper grid) and repaint with marine paint

Stud Bolt condition :
- Check that stud bolt are completed

- Check that stud bolts are free from rust and coated with multi purpose grease.

GirderRings condition :
- Ensure that Girderrings are complete and no sign of corrosion or damage. □ □
TESTING
Give the rubber surface a pressure thru thumb. Ensure that the rubber surface back
1 to initial condition upon release of the thumb. Continue to perform the durometer
test

Perform Durometer Test <use certified & regularly calibrated durometer device
only> with following procedure :
- Ensure that rubber shall free from dirt, grease or any other un wanted material
and where possible stored in cool room

- On horizontal rubber (2 ea, top and bottom, underneath griderring) do the
inspection on each sides for 10 times with value as per table 1
- On longitudinal rubber, do the inspection at 2 points as per table 1

- Spare rubber shall be inspect as per above durometer procedure and thumb test.
Durometer value shall follow table 1.

Note:
Ensure that equipment is not energized including power for space heater and safety precautions are
followed.
Check list :
1. Routine 1 Monthly :
Check storage position, put motor based on usage, i.e : vertical or horizontal
Check Grease Tape or anti corrosion coating on motor shaft end, replace it if getting dry
Inspect for corrosion, cleanliness and moisture.
Ensure that preservation labels are in position.
For MV motor, ensure that space heater always works.
Ensure that non terminated cables are fitted with shrinking shroud or insulation tape.
For LV motors and MV motors with roller bearing; manually rotate the output shaft at least
10 turns (follow rotating direction). It will allow grease to be circulated and prevent
bearing from damage. Make sure that the new shaft position varies from check to check.
For MV motors with sleeve bearing, shafts which are not locked shall be rotated at least 1
1/4 turn in the rotating direction to avoid bending when located in one position for long
periods. Make sure that the new shaft position varies from check to check
Bearings with lube oil housing; check that oil level is adequate prior to rotation.
2. Routine 1 Yearly :
For Low Voltage motors, measure insulation resistance (IR) phase to ground with 500V
megger.
For Medium and High Voltage motors, measure insulation resistance phase ground and
calculate Polarity Index if applicable with 1kV megger.
Stator Insulation Resistance and Polarity Index (for Medium Voltage Motors

Check that all document are on the purchase document or document return ,
i.e : data sheet, manual, vendor conformance, MSDS, certificate, etc □ □
