I. OBJECTIVES

Learning Competency:

 The learner identifies selected theatrical forms from the


different art periods (A9EL-Iva-1)

Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
 Identify the different theatrical forms,
 Differentiate Greek and Roman theater though an activity; and
 Give importance to theater.

1. Review
 Review on classicism, neoclassicism and romanticism.

2. Motivation

 “What springs to your mind when you hear the world Theater?”

3. Lesson Proper

2.1 Activity

“Evolution of Theater”
 Using a time line graph from Greek to Romantic Period and pictures
as representation of Theatrical forms let the students classify the
following images into their respective periods.

2.2 Analysis

 Ask the students how they were able to able to classify the images
to their respective periods.
(10mins)

2.3 Abstraction
 Teacher will describe the Greek Theater, its history and the three
main elements of it.
2.4 Application
 The teacher will show a video presentation of the eruption of mouth
Vesuvius discuss and relate the video about the story of the
Romantic Theater

 Students will differentiate the Greek Theater to Romantic Theater using rap
(include the difference in the composition)
