WEEK 1-2: BRIEF REVIEW OF VISION, MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

INTRODUCTION:

The University’s Vision, Mission and Objectives are crafted as part of the school’s direction and
collective vision. This statement is fundamental to realizing the aspirations, hopes and dreams as a premier
university and how the commitment to student-centered learning is molded and achieved. The OLFU’s
dynamic vision statement of improving man as man through excellent education and compassionate value
formation became a great motivational tool for building, understanding, and engaging to the students,
parents, staff, and the school administration as a whole.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
1. Review the University’s Vision, Mission and Objectives; and
2. Identify concrete examples or manifestations of the attainment of the university’s vision, mission
and objectives.

MODULE LESSON:

VISION:

To improve man as man by developing individuals through a legacy of excellent education and
compassionate value formation.

MISSION:

The noble dictum "improving man as man" embodies the existence of the Our Lady of Fatima
University as an educational institution dedicated to the holistic formation of men and women imbued with
the necessary skills, virtues, and academic development.

OBJECTIVES:

The University aims to:

 Commit itself to the service of society through quality education;

 Develop the capabilities of individuals in order to maximize their potentials;
 Nurture future professionals with the academic foundation, virtues and skills to become respected
leaders and productive members of society;
 Respond effectively to the changing needs and conditions of the times through continuing
professional education and research;
 Inculcate social awareness through community outreach programs;
 Imbue the faculty, staff, and students with a deep sense of nationalism and pride in our Filipino
heritage; and
 Uphold the virtues of truth, justice, integrity, compassion and faith in God.

INSTITUTIONAL CORE VALUES:

Through innovative learning strategies focused on strong and updated academic foundation with
enhanced industry skills experience, a graduate of Our Lady of Fatima University is expected to be an
