Course Description:

This course is mandated by the Republic Act 1425 also known as Rizal Law. This course tackles the Life and Work of Jose Rizal, country’s national hero. Among of the topics
that is covered by course are Readings on Rizal, Noli Me Tangere, El Filibusterismo, Education of Jose Rizal, Essays of Jose Rizal, Travel of Jose Rizal, and some his works.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Organize the happenings in Rizal’s life in chronological order.


2. Analyze Rizal’s essays and various letters.
3. Differentiate Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.
4. Demonstrate a critical analysis on primary historical sources.
5. Name the notable individuals and recognize their role in Rizal’s life.
6. Discuss the values that can be gain in studying Rizal’s Life and Works.
Course Objectives
