CHARGING BY FRICTION
Objectives

 Attract objects using common materials


 Make a triboelectric series of materials

Materials

-Comb - Plastic cover - Tissue paper

- Soda tin can -Wool -Thick large sized balloon

Procedures

1. Cut the tissue paper in to smaller pieces


2. Place a balloon in the tissue paper strips. Count the paper strips attracted .Repeat this procedure for comb
and plastic cover into the other paper strips. Record your observation in the table below.
3. Rub the balloon in the wool for 50 counts ( fast counting )and place it again near the paper strips. Count the
paper strips attracted .Repeat this procedure for comb and plastic cover into the other paper strips
