About Rmlnlu
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University is one of the leading law
schools of India. Established in the year 2006, the University is committed to
imparting comprehensive legal education in the current era of dynamism. The
40 acre campus of the University is equipped with brilliant infrastructure
facilities in the form of a library having a vast and a diverse database, olympics
standard swimming pool and a huge auditorium with a capacity of 3,500 people.
The students of the University, apart from indulging in activities within the
academic curriculum, have engaged themselves in various other co-curricular
and extra-curricular activities and brought accolades to the university. In
addition to this, there are many committees and societies in RMLNLU which are
dedicated to organizing intras as well as the inter-varsity events of the college.
The University has an active Legal Aid Clinic, operating under the umbrella of
Legal Aid Committee, which is intended to provide legal aid to the downtrodden
and backward sections of the society.
ABOUT ADR BOARD
The vibrant ADR Board of RMLNLU, working under the aegis of Legal Aid
Committee of the university, is a solely student body responsible for organizing
inter and intra - varsity ADR competitions. RMLNLU National Mediation
Competition 2019 is the fifth edition, since 2012, that will be successfully
organised by the ADR Board, entailing participation from various law schools of
India. The student fraternity of RMLNLU actively participates in CLINEME, the
intra-university ADR tournament responsible for sending competitive teams
from the university to various national mediation, negotiation and client
counseling competitions in an academic year.
V RMLNLU National Mediation
Competition
A team shall consist of two members- one playing the role of a mediator and
the other of a negotiator. In its one-of-a-kind pattern, there shall be two
mediators from different teams and two different negotiators (all four from
different teams) competing against each other in a session.
Each team shall contest in two preliminary rounds. The top eight mediators
and negotiators, based on their cumulative scores in both the prelim rounds,
shall qualify for the quarter-finals. The top four mediators and negotiators
will make it to the semi-finals and the top two for finals.
