Banapple: A Sweet & Savory Experience

Banapple is a casual dining restaurant and bakery that offers cakes, cheesecakes, and huge
servings of entrees. The restaurant is located at SM North Edsa Scenic Skywalk, Quezon
City, Metro Manila. It is the perfect place for families, Titas of Manila, couples (for date
night), and small groups of people.

The Banapple menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering food choices. Banapple is
famous for its cakes, cheesecakes, pies, and entrees. The restaurant also offers salads, pasta,
and breakfast foods.

As you step foot on the restaurant, you are welcomed by the relaxing setting. Not only it
feels like home, because of its home-cooked food smell, but the restaurant also has a café feel
to it. The restaurant is small but it’s spacey and it feels very refreshing because you are
surrounded by little plants, flowers, and the restaurant also plays chill music.

For the food, I ordered their best-selling chicken parmigiana and their Oreo cheesecake.
The chicken parmigiana is a little bit salty and I liked that the cheese instantly melts in your
mouth. I also liked the fact that it was a huge serving considering its price (305 pesos). In
terms of the oreo cheesecake, the sweetness from the oreo and the acidity of the cream cheese
is balanced. My only comment about the oreo cheesecake is that the crust is a little bit thick,
so it’s a little bit hard to cut.

As for the service, the staff are very accommodating and friendly. The moment I entered
the restaurant, they instantly greeted me and assisted me to my table. They even told me how
to order and asked me if I wanted something when I was eating. Their service is fast because
they are attentive and asked follow-up questions. Also, one of the reason why their service is
fast because it was not a peak hour.

In terms of the price range, it’s definitely not on the cheap side, but it’s also not that
expensive. The prices of the cakes ranges from 145-190 pesos per slice, 150-180 pesos for
each slice of cheesecakes, and 295-345 pesos for their entrees.
Over-all, my experience in Banapple was good. Even though the food is a little bit pricey,
it’s still worth it, because of its huge serving and impeccable taste. I would rate Banapple an
8/10 because they still have to improve in some parts and it’s not for everyone, because of the
price range. I will certainly come back to try their other foods.
