CHAPTER I
Introduction
The Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 40 series of 2015 the Senior High
School (SHS) curriculum existing of 80hours of hands on experience. The Education Secretary
Leonor Briones said that “we should start training our senior high school students in the actual
field of work to enhance their competency early”. We all know that if you already have an
experience in one thing, it’s easy for you to do it, but you need to take the risk, spending more
times and days if you wanted to have advanced knowledge in your future job professions.

appropriate skills among aimed students increasing their employability chances on the very
competitive labor market. Students become goal-driven. Students have goals. Immersion trains
them how to achieve these goals by giving them an opportunity to work with and be supervised by
professionals and highly creative people these people can inspire students to discover their
capabilities.
The different owners of companies conduct a Work Immersion Industry Forum. This
program was a great success, because they allowing the senior high school to be part of their
advocacy and also the Department of Education attended the forum. During the forum, the DepEd
representative Mr. Mark Anthony V Bercando emphasized that the safety of senior high school
students is one of the primary requirements for partner companies willing to open their doors to
these students.

The transition from being a student to being part of the working class could be challenge
to new graduates. This is why on-the-job training and immersion are provided by educational
institution to help the students to become prepared and explore their chosen careers.
As the researcher we choose this title because we’ll prepare ourselves to be ready in our
career skills and have an experience and knowledge about what professions we are take. Some of
the students are using this work immersion to have a savings because some of the companies are
giving a wage/s even if is not too high it can really help the students so that when they go back to
their schools’ they have an allowance. Work immersion can really help the students in many
aspects it can also improve the social interaction of the students so that as he or she already have
a work it will not be difficult for him or her to approach his or her workmates.

Figure 1 in the input box indicated the demographic profile of the respondents who are
experiencing the work ethics in terms of gender and age, also seeks to determine the effect of work
immersion and why the students needed some experience in work immersion.

it is also used to explain clearly the data gathered from the chosen respondents about the study.

Social interaction- Also known as “social relation” is the way people talk and act with each
other. It may include interactions in a team or family. It includes any relationship between two or
more individuals.
