The mirror gawks at her visage,

no surreptitious glances will suffice today.

Tis the day of snide remarks hurled cruelly at her.
Today he will nurture each insecurity, big or small
until she is convinced of the abomination of her being.
Today her flaws will be convicted of the crimes she did not commit,
and her self-assurance will be beheaded.
The love handles will speak a cruel tongue, those calumnious
rascals.
The blemishes, will testify against her.
And as if in a daze, she will admit to these indictments.
Alas the jury will overrule her plea of ‘not guilty’!
And the mirror will pass the judgement- UGLY!
