A. MOTIVATION Video Presentation: The pupils will watch and sing the song “Bahay Kubo”
What are the vegetables that you heard from the song?
Questions: Did you eat your breakfast before going to school?
What is your favorite food? Do you know where your food comes from?
B. PRESENTATION
Today, we are going to discuss where our food came from.
(Animal source and Plant source)

The teacher will discuss the lesson using pictures of different foods and let
the pupils identify them and sort according to their food sources.
C. DISCUSSION (Activity 1)
Pass the Box: While the music is playing, the pupils will pass the box to
their classmate besides them and when the music stops, the pupil who’s
holding the box will pick a picture of food and classify where it came from.

What kind of food do you usually eat? Are they nutritious?


Why is it important to eat nutritious foods?

PowerPoint Presentation : (The teacher will show pictures of different
foods and the pupils will tell if they are nutritious or not by raising a Meta
Card containing “thumbs up” for nutritious food and “thumbs down” for
unhealthy foods.)

The teacher has many pictures of foods. Each pupil will get a picture and
E. APPLICATION identify which sources of foods they belong.

Put the picture inside the picture of refrigerator if it comes from animals
and put it in the picture of big basket if it comes from plants.

Ang Kamatis ni Peles.


*STORY TIME (The teacher will use “Big Book” in order for the pupils to see clearly the
pictures of the different situations happen in the story)

Each pupil will be given a worksheet about food sources to work on.
