1. TOPIC
Effectiveness of Moringa Oleifera (Kelor) Seeds as Water Purifier.

2. FACTORS STUDIED
1. Seed amount - amount of seed every 1 litre of water.
2. Seed drying period - sun drying of seeds.
3. Stirring time - stirring of water and seeds in moderate speed.
4. Reaction sitting time - counted after stirring.
5. Sunlight - sunlight exposure during reaction or no sunlight exposure.

3. YIELD AND ITS MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUE

Yield : The clearest water and its height of sediment.
Measurement Technique : Comparing with gradations of dirty water to
clear water and measure the height of the
sediment.

4. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN
The following are 5 factors that we will use : (we haven’t made certainty of the
variation from each factor)
A + 1 tsp (4.8 grams)
Seed amount
- ½ tsp (2.4 grams)
B + 3 hours
Seed drying period
- No drying
C + 30 s fast, 5 mins normal
Stirring time
- 30 s fast, 2 mins normal
D Reaction sitting + 2 hours
time - 3 hours
E Sunlight exposure + Sunlight exposure
- No sunlight exposure

5. EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE
The procedures of this experimental design :
1) Prepare the tools and materials needed :
 Moringa seeds
 Mixer or grinder
 Digital scales
 Measurement tools (color gradations or sediment gauge)
 Dirty water
 Water container
 Stirrer
 etc
2) Do the experiment based on each variation factor 32 times.
3) From the results of experiment, observe the water clarity and compare with
the gradation scale or take the sediment and measure the height of sediment
to get the yield value.
