WORSHIP WORKSHOP - GOD OF GREAT

WONDERS INT’L MINISTRY INC.

Thank the coordinators for welcoming you in the event

Appreciate the city of Naga.

[ Introduce Yourself ]

Why are you here?

- Is it that you love music?
- Is it that you love serving other people?
- Answered prayer?
- “Nandito kasi mga classmates/friends ko eh”

We are actually here for a purpose and that is to worship an audience of One
and that is JESUS. The one who paid the price for us to have a blessed life.

Developing Christ-centered Worship

1. Desire (Getting closer to God)

o “God doesn’t value worship leaders but leaders who worship God”
o Worship is a lifestyle, it’s not during Wednesdays and Sundays but
everyday
o 3 small points to get closer to God:
! Read God’s word (Word)
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all
these things will be added to you” - Matthew 6:33
! Get connected (Fellowship)
“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some
people do, but encourage one another, especially now that
the day of his return is drawing near.” – Hebrews 10:25
! Be constant in prayer (Prayer)
- The work of prayer aligns our hearts in God’s plans,
promises and will in our life daily
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in
prayer.” - Romans 12:12

2. Dedication
o Remember that being in the ministry is just an overflow of our cup
o Our focus is always on JESUS
“If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up
his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever would save his life will
lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it” - Lk 9:23-
24
- Part 2 -

b. Practice vs Rehearsal
i. Practice
• Have a habit of listening to your song lineup
• Meditate the lyrics
• REPETITION is key to mastery
ii. Rehearsal

o Learn to respect each other’s time
o Band setup
2. Devotion

- Topic: Connection to the preaching in Sunday
service or personal quiet time
- Explain why devotion is important?
3. Communication
a. Worship Leaders:
i. Set expectations during PW to your
musicians (e.g. song-to-song transitions,
exhortation, song arrangements)
ii. Update your coordinators the complete
flow of PW (e.g. adding verses in
presentation slide, etc.)
iii. Hand signals
b. Musicians:
i. Always keep in touch with worship
leaders (rehearsals and PW)
ii. Accept corrections and be firm on what
you have practiced
c. PW Proper
i. Do’s and Don’ts
ii. Proper Transitioning
iii. Ministering (after praise and worship, altar call) – for
musicians
iv. Learn to appreciate your volunteers (e.g. GOOD JOB!
THANK YOU!)
4. (Bonus) Personal Sharing

Share what God told me by the time I entered Naga.

I was amazed, blessed, humbled of what I saw nung nakapasok na sa Naga

yung bus na sinasakyan ko. Nakita ko kasi yung maliit na sign kung mapapansin
nyo yun. It says “Naga East, service before self”. I was amazed and blessed
because people here in Naga indeed are hospitable, loving and serving others.
I’m thankful that God spoke to me about the value of humility - treating others
better than ourselves (Phil 2:3). I would like to echo to you what the sign says,
remain humble and hungry to learn new things, yung skills kasi nadedevelop yan
sooner or later pero iba pag pagtrato sa ibang tao ang pinag-uusapan. Do what
Jesus did – He is God yet he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point
of His death in the cross (Phil 2:5-8).
