I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards
The learner s demonstrate an understanding of himself/herself during middle and late
adolescence
B. Performance Standards
The learner s shall be able to conduct self-exploration and simple disclosure
C. Learning Competency
The learners explain that knowing oneself can make a person accept his/her
strengths and limitations and dealing with others better
Objective/s:
Cognitive: Define what self-concept is.
Psychomotor: Make self-concept list and plan of actions to achieve their aspirations in life.
Affective: Understand the significance of self-concept to the attainment of their life dreams
or aspirations.

The teacher will ask at least 2 students to share their learning on previous
activity or lesson

Explain the connection of previous lesson to the new topic to be discussed
(Presenting/reading of Objectives for the day’s lesson)

Assist students in taking self-concept inventory

“Mirror Mirror on the Wall”
Ask students to make a straight line, and one after the other, each student will
look their selves on the mirror for 30 seconds. Every student will write down on
their journals the things they see or observed on the mirror and randomly, the
teacher will let at least ten students to read their output in the class.

“Throwing of Questions”
- What is the reason why you take this strand?
- What motivates you to study hard?
- What is your future plan for yourself and family?
F. Developing Mastery (Leads to formative assessment)
Compare the self you see on the mirror and the one that you imagine you will be
in the future.
G. Finding application of concepts and skills in daily living
What is the importance of knowing your actual self and ideal self?
Have you known of a person whose actual self did not coincide or congruent to
his/her ideal self?
H. Making generalizations and abstractions in the lesson.
The teacher will have generalization of the topic emphasizing the important
details of the matter as well as correcting the misleading ideas given the
students on their activity.
I. Evaluating learning
Make self-concept and plan of actions ten years from now. Make this as artistic
as possible. Each student will briefly explain their output in front in a minute.
