ABSTRACT

Pesticide have been relied on since its existence because of its power to
eliminate pasts. The purpose of this study is to prove the effectiveness of a
handmade pesticide made of Dumb Cane (Dieffenbachia) sap. Dumb Cane is a
good alternatives in the other pesticide because aside that it is a houseplant, it is
also easy to make and it is cheaper. It can be nearly as any other pesticides in
eliminating pests while being eco-friendly. The researchers extract the required
fluids by pounding the raw materials and straining them. In testing, we observe
the eggplant for about one week and sprayed the handmade pesticide to the
eggplant. The handmade pesticide weakend the pest in seconds and eliminated
for about 2 hours. This shows that the handmade pesticide made of Dumb Cane
(Dieffenbachia) sap is effective in removing pests in the eggplant.
