The physical setting in a classroom denotes strong message regarding

ownership and authority and dictates the way that interactions are conducted

(Long, 2013). Arranging your classroom has to deal with effective dealing with

classroom aspect, and how well you can see the space that is allocated to you

for teaching. Always make sure that your classroom is structured in a way that is

accurately and effectively portraying your own personal educational philosophy

while simultaneously allowing your students to interact and move about in the

ways that you want or need them. (Hermosa, 2014).This study will be conducted

to determine the effectiveness of unstructured and well-structured in every

learning environment of the students. Specifically, this study was conceptualized

to give elucidation on how structured and well-structured classrooms would

affect the learning system of the students at the same time explain the

connection between unstructured classrooms and well-structured classrooms in

the learning system of the students.

Koronadal National Comprehensive High School is one of the public

schools in Koronadal City wherein the enrollees are coming from the different

municipalties surrounding the city. This is one of the schools having sudden

increase of the number of their enrollees and resulted on lacking of learning

facilities such as classrooms and laboratories.

Objective of the Study

The purpose of this study is to enlighten the impact of having an

unstructured and well-structured classroom to the academic performance of the

students and if there is really a difference between the two factors.

Statement of the Problem

The purpose of the study is to understand the effectiveness of the learning

environment through the classroom structuring for the students’ performance in

class at KNCHS Junior High. The well-structured and unstructured classroom

will be generally defined as a tool in making the learning environment more

effective. Specifically, the study attempted to answer the following

questions:

1. How does classroom affects the academic performance of JHS Students?


2. Is their a significant difference in terms of academic performance between

students who stays at unstructured and well-structured classroom?

Significance of the Study

This study aim to help the administration, teachers, parents, student and

future researchers.

To the adinistrator, the study will help the administration to be aware if

they really need to transfer the student from unstructured to well-structured

classroom.

To the teachers, the study will help them to know what kind of technique

to use in enhancing the students learning.

To the parents, the study will help the them to be aware of what will be the

effects of the classroom to their children.

To the students, the study will serve as an eye opener to the real situation

of the students in both unstructured and well- structured classroom.

To the future researchers, this study will serve as a referrences to the

future researchers who will conduct a study that have a similarities to the said

study.

Scope and Delimitation

This study will be conducted at the Koronadal National Comprehensive

High School (KNCHS) and limited to the Junior High School students specifically

to the grade seven (7) heterogeneous who attends classes in ustructured and

well-structured classrooms. This study will be conducted starting on the month of

July until the end of August.

It is also focuses on what does the physical stucture of the classroom

contributes to the learning environment of the structured and to know the main

effects of the classroom structures to the student.

This study used the first quarter grades of Junior High School in their 3

major subject such as math, english and science through collecting and

gathering data from their subject teachers and adviser.
