Structural Analysis-1
Assignment-2
Course Advisor: proff.N.M.Anoop Krishnan
The whole assignment was solely done by K.V.Harsha Vardhan, a
student of civil engineering department, IIT Delhi, bearing entry number
2018CE10108.
This paper has two parts, one is the maximum level reached in the game
TRUSS ME and the other is five common structures we see around us(in
IIT Delhi). In this report, the frictional forces are neglected unless
mentioned.
Level in ‘TRUSS ME’…………………..

Shown is the photo of the

structure(truss), I have
created in the game:
TRUSS ME. In that game I
have crossed the level 17
and reached the 18th one.
A Column

Shown is the photo of a

column, which takes the
vertical loads and
transfer it the ground. It
also carries it’s own
weight.
A Door

It stays in
equilibrium due to
the two hinges
provided to it, at
both the hinges
there are two
reaction
components each.
A Beam

It carries the load

from the ceiling
along with it’s own
weight and was
supported at the
edges.
A hanger; simply supported beam
Here shown is a simple hanger which
can be observed as a simply supported
beam with two reactions and a moment
at each side.
It is a slab and it carries forces as
A Slab shown in the figure and majorly
transfers the load to the columns.
