SPIRITUAL MOVEMENT
The coming years in man’s history are very
significant ! Now, nothing can be accomplished
with only a few spiritual people.
  
If an enormous spirituality is not born, if a
massive spiritual movement does not take place
upon the earth in which millions of persons are
affected, it will be impossible to save the world
from the doom of materialism.
  
There will be momentous moments during
the coming fifty years .. that will decide the fate
of mankind. Either religion will be victorious or
materialism.
   
These fifty years will be years that will
properly evaluate Buddha, Mahavir, Krishna,
Mohammed, Ram, Jesus and other of their kind.
All these luminaries will be on our side of the
scales, while the other side of the scale will
contain all the neurotic politicians, various sorts
of worldly people, and the deluded, ignorant
masses as well. The struggle that has been
going on since long .. will soon reach a climax.
On our side of the scale, there are very few
people, as you can see. And there is little to
not disheartened, because I feel that very soon
a way that is simple and natural will be found
which will act as a revolutionary ray of
transcendence in the lives of millions of
people.
  
In olden times, it was enough for mankind
if only one man attained God-hood. Now, this
will not do. Such a terrible explosion of
population has taken place that a single
individual is but a helpless non-entity. Now, only
a massive wave of spirituality involving millions
of people can be effective !
  
If a few people form a nucleus and begin
the work, then India can play a decisive part in
this momentous fight.
 
No matter how poor, how miserable, how
enslaved or how strayed from the path this
country may be, it still has within its bosom some
well-guarded treasures. Such great persons
have trodden on this land and consecrated it !
The very air carries the vibrations and flames of
their being, and their cherished wishes have
blossomed forth on every leaf.
I may be instrumental in bringing about a
spiritual explosion in the lives of millions of
people. You can be of help in this !
 The explosion within you will not be valuable
only for you, but for all of mankind. With the hope OSHO

and prayer in mind that you will kindle the flame

within yourselves and also be instrumental in
lighting it within others !
  

Meditation has become the only hope

for humanity to be saved, for the earth to
remain alive. The method that Buddha used
is known as Anapanasati Yoga .. the yoga of
in-coming and out-going breath awareness.
  

To be conscious of the breath means that

no thoughts can be allowed, because thoughts
will distract your attention. Automatically,
thinking will stop ; you cannot both think and
breathe consciously ! When a thought comes
into your mind, your attention is withdrawn from
the breathing. A single thought, and you have
become unconscious of the breathing process.
Move consciously with the breath and you will
create a center of awareness within you. Then
your whole body becomes the universe.
