Original invoices for purchase of newspaper, books, periodicals, DVD's etc. (which helps in
enhancement of professional knowledge of the employee)

II Leave travel allowances

LTA can be claimed for self, spouse, children, dependent parents and dependent siblings.
Exemptions shall be provided on the following documents:
Medium of travel Acceptable Documents
Air Boarding Pass & Air ticket on his/her name
Rail Tickets on his/her name
Other mode of transport Tickets on his/her name
Eligibility Yearly One Journey (Round trip)
Exemption limit:
For Air Travel:

Economy class air fare of a national carrier by the shortest route shall be acceptable
For travel performed by any mode other than Air:
Rail: AC first class rail fare
Other than rail : First class or deluxe class fare by shortest route of the recognised public
transport

* For above all medium the exemption shall be provided on least of the actual expenses
incurred or permissible amount
