Configuring Report Manager for FSG Reports

In Oracle Applications R12, there are seeded menu items available for report manager. To
use the FSG reports, we need “Financial Report Submission” menu item to be attached
in the required responsibility. For Example, if we want to add this to General Ledger
Responsibility, following steps needs to be followed:

1. Check for the Manu Name in which you want to add the function:

System Administrator  Security  Define and search for the required


responsibility
2. System Administrator  Application  Menu and search for the required menu

3. Add the Financial Report Submission function to this menu


4. Change the responsibility and open Financial Report Submission function.
Following screen will be displayed in a new browser session. Select the
appropriate parameters and press next: ( Step 1 of 5 )

5. Select the default template and press next ( Step 2 of 5 )


6. Default Storage location is selected, this can be changed but not required ( Step 3
of 5 )

7. In this step, you can create a menu item for this report. This step is also optional
( Step 4 of 5 )
8. Review the parameters and submit the report ( Step 5 of 5 )

9. The report is submitted and this can be monitored through the next screen
10. There are 2 reports submitted, you can view the output of the (Publish and
Presentation Program) report by clicking the output link.

11. The output is displayed in the HTML format, which can be changed to PDF and
EXCEL by selecting the required output type
12. To generate a report in Excel, following changes are required in Internet Explorer
and Microsoft Excel

a. Open Internet Explorer and Navigate to Tools  Internet Options  and


choose the security tab
b. Select Local Intranet and choose the custom level button
c. Set the option "Initialize and script Active X controls not marked as safe"
to "Prompt"
d. Open Excel and go to Tools  Macro  security  Trusted Publishers
e. Check the "Trust access to Visual Basic Project"
