MATHEMATICS MILESTONES
MATHEMATICS WEEK
 INAUGURATION OF MATH WEEK

Adhyapana School, CBSE celebrated Math under the banner INFINITY in the first
week of December, from 05/12/2019 to 07/12/2019. The inauguration ceremony was
done by lighting the glorious lamp by the Heads and the visiting guests from Australia,
Ms. Joy Gabriel and Mr. Hampton.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
 Akilesh, Madhavan, Vishnu Vardhan, Harshitha Balan, Minu Preethi and group
participated in Math Week.
 Abinav, Kavya Lakshmi and group participated in Intra School math Quiz.
 Gayathri V.S participated in D.R. Iyer Memorial Quiz.
 Alakkar, Mohammed Ashfaaq, Sarath Priyadharshan participated in Math Olympiad.
 Rachitha, Shri Manasi, Madhavan, Sudhan Vel Aaladi participated in Abacus
Training.
 M. Mohamed Ashfaaq secured gold, B. Kaushik Babu secured silver and M. Amirtha
secured bronze in Math Olympiad.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
 Vinaymathi S. (Clash of Pi) – I prize, certificate.
 Joshis Mandal – Abacus Level 2, II prize.
 Shree Guhan – Abacus level 3, II prize.
 Gokula Neeraj S. B – Infinity Math Quiz- I Prize.
 Bhoopesh Balaji, Sanchana, Swetha and group participated in Math Week Activity.
 Biswayan secured gold (Level 2), and Seraph Vimal Dev secured bronze in Math
Olympiad.
 Biswayan of Class VII participated in D.R. Iyer Memorial Quiz.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
 Shivani and group participated in Math Week Activity.
 B. Lakshana secured gold (Level 2), R S Mukesh secured silver and C. R. Sarwin
Krishna secured bronze in Math Olympiad.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
 Tharanitharan, Selvaraj, Rithik Bala Alaghu, Judith, Shreya and group participated in
Math activity.
 Ishwarya Lakshmi participated in D.R. Iyer Memorial Quiz.
 Ishwarya Lakshmi secured gold, I Shailesh secured silver and V Vainavi Ananya
secured bronze in Math Olympiad.
 S. Sujai Shakthivel from X secured gold in Math Olympiad.
 PERFORMANCE BY XI

ACHIEVEMENTS:
 Sagarika and group performed a role play on Fibonacci Series for Math Week
 Saniya and group performed a song on Mean, Median and Mode.
 Mukhilan participated in D.R. Iyer Memorial Quiz.
 D.R. IYER MEMORIAL QUIZ
The much awaited D.R. Iyer Memorial Inter-School Quiz was the highlight of day two. More
than 20 schools in and around Madurai took part in this quiz. Pushpalata School, Tirunelveli
proudly emerged as the winner for the third consecutive year holding on the rolling shield.
Students VI, VII, VIII, IX and XI of our school participated in the quiz.

The intra school quiz held on the 07/12/2019, culminated the week. Sushmita, Thivyashrii,
Gokula Neeraj, Varshida and Gayathri and Team was declared as the winner.
 KEREN SCHOOL-MATH QUIZ

The quiz challenged students to show their understanding of basic principles through
problem solving, with a goal of "encouraging student interest and confidence in
mathematics through solving worthwhile problems”. Our students bagged the 2 nd prize.
