national parks and luxurious lodges, Tanzania is on
most people’s safari hit-list.
Whilst we cover all of the must-see’s in this dedicated brochure,
hopefully we can offer you some insights into some of the slightly less
known areas, some of the boutique properties, and how to make your
trip to Tanzania slightly less usual than the mainstream.

• World class cheetah sightings at the

intimate Namiri Plains Camp in Serengeti
National Park.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Covering an area of 14,723 km2, the Serengeti is the principal location for the annual
wildebeest migration sharing this mass movement with its northerly neighbour Kenya.
Here you’ll find the big five, big cats and much more.

WHEN TO GO
Sightings of the plains game in the Serengeti are some of the best you will see on the continent. We’d
recommend avoiding the rains from March to May, then October to November.

OUR FAVOURITE LODGE: NAMIRI PLAINS LODGE SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK IS

Namiri is relatively new, in fact we were the first company to ever put any clients there. Located in the
eastern Serengeti, it is so remote that it may as well be in its own private concession. Previously a WORLD RENOWNED, OFFERING

NGORONGORO CRATER

There is often an argument over the Crater and whether one should go or not. This is
silly as it is simple. If you have not been before, then you MUST go. Yes, it can be busy
at certain times, but that is where we come in.

WHEN TO GO
The crater itself is stunning, and brimming with wildlife that can readily be seen on safari, from
elephants and rhino, to leopard and zebra. You can expect excellent wildlife sightings year round, but we
recommend aiming for the low season for a quieter safari, between April and May.

Crocodiles nest in huge caves in the river banks, pods of thousands of hippos wallow in
pools whilst elephants and buffalo congregate along the river’s edge; the perfect buffet

WHEN TO GO

As the tallest peak on the African continent and the highest free standing peak in the
world, Mt Kilimanjaro provides a challenge. Not a technical climb, it is still 5,895m high
and can take your legs out from beneath you with altitude sickness!

WHEN TO GO
Mount Kilimanjaro can be climbed year round, but there is a main season from July to October which
