Descriptive Statistics
Go to data –> Data Analysis
Choose Descriptive Statistics from the window
Input range will be the numeric column for which you need
analysis
If header is selected then label option will be check
Give output option
Check statistical analysis check box
Press OK

Histogram
Go to data –> Data Analysis
Choose Histogram from the window
Input range will be the numeric column for which you need
analysis
Select the Bin column where you have specify your group or range
If header is selected then label option will be check
Give output option
Check options for analysis
Press OK
Sampling
Go to data –> Data Analysis
Choose Sampling from the window
Input range will be the numeric column for which you need
analysis
If header is selected then label option will be check
Specify sampling method
o Periodic: specify every nth number for sampling
o Random: specify total number of samples
Give output option
Check statistical analysis check box
Press OK

Correlation
Go to data –> Data Analysis
Select Correlation and click OK.
Give the Input range
Specify the output range
Press OK
Exponential Smoothing
1. Go to data –> Data Analysis
2. Select Correlation and click OK.
3. smooth
4. Click in the Damping factor box and type 0.1 to 0.9. Literature
often talks about the smoothing constant α (alpha). The value (1-
α) is called the damping factor. Higher Damping factor (lower
alpha) means more smoothness, lower Damping factor (Higher
alpha) means less smoothness
5. Click in the Output Range box and select cell B3.
6. Click OK.
