SUBJECT: Checking BDI Settings During PDI

MODELS AFFECTED: A268 (E45-70XN), K160 (J30-40XNT), A935 (J30-40XN), A269


(E30-40XN), A099 (E80-120XN, 100XNS), A970 (J80-100XN), A276 (J45-70XN)

DESCRIPTION: This Parts-Service Gram replaces Gram FA00053R02H to add


models A970 and A276. Please discard all previous electronic and paper copies
of that Gram.

On new NexGen products, the trucks should come with the appropriate BDI charged
and discharged settings from the factory. However, due to the possibility that changes
could occur during the shipping process, dealers are requested to conduct a “restore
factory defaults” operation during the pre-delivery process. The battery should always
be set by the dealer for the amperage battery that will be installed during pre-delivery
The “restore factory defaults” should occur prior to setting the battery amperage.

Always confirm the values as shown in the below chart.
