Describe the importance of reducing the use of materials at home, in school and in the
community.

Reduce means to minimize wastes. The consumer must have the determination to
use the least quantity of materials possible.

Remember to use only as little as possible. Use the most of the least you have.
Let us do our share in keeping our environment clean. If each of us does his/her
share, waste problems will be solved. It is time to bring our efforts together for cleaner
and greener surroundings.

Directions: Read and analyze.
Everyday people produce tons of garbage that must be disposed of in the different
ways and places. These waste materials are by-products brought about certain
processes. Here in Batangas City, a waste segregation scheme s currently being
followed. Using of plastic is prohibited. The scenario of using eco-bag and bringing their
own package practiced by all Batangenos . You as a simple citizen, how will you
support this program? What are the things you should reduce in using? Give an
example.
