TIMBER BUILDINGS
HORIZONTAL LOADS
A FULL RANGE OF JOINTS FOR WALLS AND BUILDINGS CAN PROVIDE POSSIBLE FAILURE
THE IDEAL SOLUTION TO ANY TYPE OF HORIZONTAL ACTION AND
DESIGN REQUIREMENT.
MODES
During the design phase the building response to both vertical and hori-
zontal actions, such as wind or earthquake, must be considered. Hori-
zontal actions can be schematized as loads acting at the floor level.
LOAD PATTERN
Horizontal loads acting at the floor level introduce shear and tension
forces on the structural elements of the building; these forces must be
absorbed by an effective connection system, correctly dimensioned and
installed.

CONNECTIONS
TENSION ANGLE-BRACKETS
These angle brackets shall be used where punctual tensile loads are, 01. Wall - Floor
typically in correspondence with corners, edges and holes, both at the 02. Wall - Foundation
ground and interstorey level.
SHEAR ANGLE-BRACKETS
Shear angle brackets shall be distributed along the wall edge in order to 03. Wall - Floor / Wall - Wall
transfer the shear forces both in timber-to-timber and timber-to-con- 04. Wall - Foundation
crete connections.
PERFORATED PLATES
Metallic perforated plates allow to transfer tensile and shear loads both 05. Wall - Foundation (tension)
in timber-to-timber and timber-to-concrete connections, depending on 06. Wall - Wall (tension)
the typology utilized. 07. Wall - Foundation (shear)
SELF-TAPPING SCREWS
The self-tapping product range, provides optimal solutions that satisfy 08. Wall - Wall
the design needs no matter what the type of external action. 09. Floor - Floor

INVISIBLE
The reduced height of the vertical flange allows hidden installation of the
bracket within the floor panels.
SHEAR/TENSILE
Exceptional tensile strength (100 kN) and shear strength (60 kN). 4-mm
thick steel. Partial fastening possibilities.
STAGGERED WALLS
VGS Ø11 full thread screws enable the installation of the interstorey walls
without any additional intervention, even if the thickness between one
floor and the next differs.
MATERIAL
Galvanized carbon steel.

CONVENIENT INSTALLATION
Installation is easier thanks to 50% fewer fastenings.
PRECISION
Fastening with screws makes positioning and tightening the CLT panel
on the angle bracket easy by facilitating assembly.
MATERIAL
Galvanized carbon steel.
CONCRETE HOLES
The angle TCS bracket is designed to
offer two fixing possibilities, in order
to avoid interference with the rebars
in the concrete support.
