2020 DISTRICT MATHEMATICS CAMP

To: Public Secondary School Heads

Public Secondary School Teachers

1. In preparation for the 2020 Division Math Camp on January 24, 2020 at Landy National High School.
This District will hold a one day District Math Camp on January 22, 2020 at Poctoy National High
School.
2. The overall objective of this competition is to contribute in improving the quality of Mathematics
Education. Specifically, it aims to:
a. awaken greater interest in Mathematics among junior high school students from public schools;
b. encourage them to strive for excellence through mastery of basic mathematical skills;
c. develop the values of hard work, perseverance, honesty, teamwork and sportsmanship; and
d. provide students opportunities in leadership and cooperative undertaking.
3. The participants and contest categories to this competition are shown in the table below. They are
required to bring their own food provision, show-me-board, chalk and eraser.

4. The contestants to be declared champion in Math Quiz shall represent our District in the Division Level
Competition.
5. The Mechanics and Program of Activities are attached to this Memorandum.
6. The host school shall prepare a short opening program, testing rooms for the Math Quiz & Team
Competition and the ten (10) stations for the Math Trail.
7. Immediate and wide dissemination of this memorandum is earnestly desired.
