TRUE MINISTRIES CHURCH

SEEING IT THROUGH

ISAIAH 6:1-10
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the
train of His robe filled the temple. Now that is powerful. Above it stood seraphim; each one
had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is
full of His glory!” And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and
the house was filled with smoke. So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of
unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the
King, The LORD of hosts.” Let me tell you something, when you see the King—Lord of hosts,
you realize how filthy we really are!! Because of His pureness and holiness. Then one of the
seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the
altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your
iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:
“Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” And He
said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do
not perceive.’ “Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes;
Lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and
return and be healed.” Wow! Because they were rebellious. They were rebellious. One of the
things that was happening with Isaiah was that the Lord brought him in the Spirit to the throne
room of God. He saw the living creatures. He saw the seraphim. He saw the things that were
happening in the throne room of God! He couldn’t even speak standing in the presence of God!
Because he is so holy and so pure. Then the angel came over and cleansed him so that he could
speak. But the Lord was looking at man. One of the things he was saying is, Who will see
things through for me. Who will see things through for me? One of the things God wants his
children to do is see things through. That’s what we are going to talk about. Seeing it through!
You and I must learn how to see it through and understand consequences. And how things can
happen when we don’t see things through.

I CORINTHIANS 2:9-12
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the
things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” You have understand he says, Eye has
not seen. Eye has not seen. Now what is he talking about—it goes into the heart of man. The
heart of man is a representation of the character of a man’s spirit. So the heart and spirit are one.
But it’s the character of the spirit is what the heart is a representation of. He says that these
things need to enter into his heart so that he can see. So that we can see things through. Verse
10, But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. So without being in the Spirit you will
not see things through. And you can be in the Spirit and still refuse to see things through. For
the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a
man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God
except the Spirit of God. So it’s our responsibility to get deep in the Spirit so that we can see
things through. Verse 12, Now we have received, not the spirit of the world—Now who is the
spirit of the world? Satan. He’s the ruler, isn’t he. Does he not blind everyone? We have not

-1-
received that spirit. But the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have
been freely given to us by God. So it says that we might know the things. In other words, you
and I have a choice to get into the Spirit and stay there and begin to see the things of God. But
there are certain things that we must do. We must see things through. Not just get caught up in
present circumstances. Yes, we are with the God of now. With the God of now there is no space
or time. So no matter what you are doing, whatever decision, whatever it may be, you must see
things through. There is something that is going to happen at the end if you will see things
through. You will know if it is of God or not. There are a lot of people that say, Well the Lord
told me to do this…. But you know what? They don’t see it through. And they will find out that
it really wasn’t God. Eye has not seen. Only in Spirit. Why do people fall behind in debt,
circumstances, sin, backsliding, bondage, all of these things. Why? Because they don’t see
things through to the other side. They lose sight that there is a cause and effect to everything.
Even certain things people don’t realize until afterwards. Someone will go out and buy some
music. They listen to a couple of songs and they didn’t really listen to the entire thing and they
find out that the music isn’t right. What happens is that they hold on to it because they paid for it
instead of getting rid of it. And the music is keeping them in the outer courts instead of bringing
them into the Holy of Holies. We have to make choices. Every choice that you and I make we
have to see it through. If you don’t see it through you will always end up in bondage. Buying a
car. Buying a house. In relationships. Jobs. Every decision that you and I make we must see it
through. What is the end result going to be? Even when you say something to somebody. What
is the end result going to be? There is too much blabbing of the mouth and not enough seeing
things through. There is too much doing of something and not enough seeing it through. There
is too much making commitments and not seeing things through. There are people who take a
job and work six days a week and not seeing things through and they are actually backsliding
and don’t even know it. Because they are not giving their time to God. You can’t give time to
God by working six days a week and going to church. You must take your own time with God.
You will eventually bite the bait. Because you are not sowing enough time to God. There are
people that are so committed to so many other things and they are not seeing things through.
Decisions that they have made. Not seeing it through. And then they wonder why God isn’t
using them. Or holding them back. He can’t trust someone who can’t see it through. He can’t
trust someone that’s leaning on everything else but Him! They may make confession that they
are leaning on Him but they are not!! They are still leaning on them. Or they would give up
some of these things.

There are people that will go out and buy a car because that’s the car they want. But they don’t
see it through. They are not seeing it through because they are not checking the car out, are they.
Don’t get me wrong, when God says buy the car, depending on where you are with God, you
will know and won’t even have to check it out. But the Lord says to test all things. Same things
with relationships. People get married without seeing it through. Then they wonder why they
have turmoil and whatever. They are not seeing it through. Why? Because they want what they
want right now and they are not allowing God to show them. Because only in the Spirit. When
you want, it moves you out! That’s why the bible says the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not
what? Want. When we remove him from Shepherd that means you and I want and what
happens is that you can’t see it through because you are not in the Spirit. The only thing you are
concerned about is what’s happening for your pleasure right now. Then people are only
concerned about—I’ve got bills to pay … I’ve got—You know what? Two “I’s” and you’re out!

-2-
Not three. Two “I’s” and you’re blinded! That’s it! You’ve already bit the bait. It’s just a
matter of time. The next thing you will find that all your appliances, your cars, and everything
else will start getting beat up and you will start losing certain things. Why? Because you are out
of position and the devil has access to you. Because the protection is lifting. Because he is not
your number one anymore. You are.

EZEKIEL 12:1-11
Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying: “Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a
rebellious house, which has eyes to see but does not see—Rebellion causes blindness! And ears
to hear but does not hear. If you can’t see, you certainly can’t hear. For they are a rebellious
house. Aren’t we known as the house. Therefore, son of man, prepare your belongings for
captivity—Now the Lord is telling Ezekiel to do something because they are not seeing. They
are not listening and they are not seeing. Therefore, son of man, prepare your belongings for
captivity, and go into captivity by day in their sight. You shall go from your place into captivity
to another place in their sight. He is telling him to do something, always in the sight of his
people. It may be that they will consider, though they are a rebellious house. What was he
doing? He was trying to warn them, Because you aren’t seeing you are going into captivity!
Verse 4, By day you shall bring out your belongings in their sight, as though going into
captivity; and at evening you shall go in their sight, like those who go into captivity. Dig
through the wall in their sight, and carry your belongings out through it. Notice everything is in
their sight—because they weren’t listening and they weren’t seeing. In their sight you shall bear
them on your shoulders and carry them out at twilight; you shall cover your face, so that you
cannot see the ground, for I have made you a sign to the house of Israel.” So I did as I was
commanded. I brought out my belongings by day, as though going into captivity, and at evening
I dug through the wall with my hand. I brought them out at twilight, and I bore them on my
shoulder in their sight. And in the morning the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Son of
man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, ‘What are you doing?’ Say to
them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the
house of Israel who are among them.”’ Say, ‘I am a sign to you. As I have done, so shall it be
done to them; they shall be carried away into captivity.’ When you refuse to see something
through, you are going right into bondage. Every time. Whatever decision, whenever you make
a choice, everything that you do will either lead to freedom, maintain freedom or lead into
bondage. So if you are not seeing something through—Everyone say: Lord, I am going to see it
through from this night forward. In Jesus’ name! If we don’t see things through we get caught
into bondage! Every time!

ACTS 28:24-27
Now Paul was speaking to the Jews. He was trying to lead them to the Lord and tell them about
the Christ. In verse 24, And some were persuaded by the things which were spoken, and some
disbelieved. So when they did not agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had said
one word: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, saying, ‘Go
to this people and say: “Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you will
see, and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Dullness is a representation
of laziness and compromise. The hearts have grown dull because they have gotten comfortable
in their own comfort zones. Zealousness begins to decrease. The only zealousness that increases
is a zealousness for worldliness. Their hearts have grown dull. Why? Because they are going, I

-3-
want … I want … I want … I want … for the things of the world. They find out because they
didn’t see it through that they end up having to give them up. Because they can’t maintain them.
Because it wasn’t God. But they could have sworn it was God because they got a goose bump!
Or they had a vision—Oh it’s God! I know it’s God!! Well nobody saw it through. If it was
God, he would have maintained it. For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Dull to the
things of the Spirit. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they
should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts
and turn, so that I should heal them.”’ We must see things through. You have to understand
something, he was talking to the Jews because it had already been given to them. They already
knew about all the things. All these things he had been talking about had already been written in
the Torah. But they wouldn’t believe him. Even though it was there written for them, they still
refused to see. They still refused to see. How many times has somebody gone up and said
something to someone and they still refuse to see. I get a lot of people who go, Yeah, yeah,
yeah. And I know that they didn’t get one word that was said. They were just giving me eye
service. Then they go kaput. Then they blame everyone else for what they are going through.

There was a powerful Touched by an Angel episode and we copied it. It was about a woman
who was a demon and everything that she would walk past, computers and everything would
mess up! They were constantly messing up. Everything was being destroyed because the hedge
of protection was lifted.

ROMANS 3:10-18
As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is
none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable;
There is none who does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they
have practiced deceit; The poison of asps is under their lips; Whose mouth is full of cursing and
bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; Destruction and misery are in their ways; And the
way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes.” So many times,
because we hear so much that God is our friend and whatever, that we lose sight of how truly
holy he is. So what happens is that we don’t see things through because we take God
nonchalantly. There is no reverence the way there should be toward Him. If there was that
reverence towards him all the time, we would begin to see things through. A lot more than what
we do.

JOHN 14:6-9
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except
through Me. “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on
you know Him and have seen Him.” I would say that’s pretty plain, isn’t it. If you know me,
you know the Father. If you see me, you see the Father. Look what Philip does. He says,
“Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Hello. He needed to have the soul
slapped out of him! He needed to have the scales removed from his eyes. You know why?
Because he chose not to see, even though it was right in front of him. It could be right in front of
me and you and sometimes we choose not to see. Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so
long—How many times has the Lord said to us, How many times are you going to learn this
thing! Have I been with you so long—Haven’t you gone through this enough times?! So many
times when we are getting ready to do something and make a decision, we see something that

-4-
God is trying to tell us and we just push it over to the side. Thanks Lord! And we go! And he
was trying to warn us – and we think it was His approval! Because we didn’t see it through. We
only got a glimpse of it. But we didn’t look at it. You know why? Because deep within we
knew that he was telling us not to. But we didn’t want to accept it. So we thought, Well Lord
your word says all things work together for the good to those who love you. So I will use that
scripture when I get to the end of this—when it all backfires! We have to begin to get honest! If
you can’t be honest with yourself, you certainly can’t be honest with God. Jesus said to him,
“Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me
has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? I think that was a powerful
rebuke! Have you not gone through this enough! Are you not willing to take care of your
responsibilities? Are you not willing to see things through? You wouldn’t be in this
circumstance if you saw things through!! You end up having to give up so many things because
you can’t maintain them. Because you didn’t see it through. You know when people open a
business and then they are bound to it because they didn’t see it through. They are now serving
the devil through the business! People get themselves in debt because—now they’ve got to serve
the devil and don’t even realize it. When you are serving money, you are serving the devil.
When money serves you, you are serving the Lord. There is a difference. Philip didn’t see or
understand. Understanding brings sight. If you have no understanding, you’re blinded.
Rebellion brings blindness.

LUKE 4:18-19
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the
poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery
of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. Look at those three. It says to
preach the gospel to the poor. It doesn’t mean financially poor. It means poor in spirit. He has
sent Me to heal the brokenhearted. Those who have a broken spirit. To proclaim liberty to the
captives—those who didn’t see and got brought into captivity. And recovery of sight to the blind
—so that they could see and get out of captivity! To set at liberty those who are oppressed. Let
me tell you when you get into captivity you are oppressed! It seems like it’s a hole that you can
never get out of. It’s an oppression that’s hard to get out of. You know why? Because we
brought it on ourselves. We can’t blame anybody else. We can’t blame God. We can only
blame ourselves. And turn around and do the right thing. See things through! Even when the
Lord gives me something, such as during prayer, I will get confirmation that day. Sometimes I
will say, Lord I need double confirmation! Even when he gives me double confirmation, I’m
still going to test it. I’m going to see it through. Because I’m asking the Holy Spirit to bring to
the place where I need to be to know that it’s of Him! Sometimes he is leading me to a place so
that from there he can lead me somewhere else. I don’t know what the whole end result is. He
doesn’t give us blueprints. But he will give us bit by bit. It sure would be nice to have a whole
blueprint but we would end up trying to alter it. What he gives me I have to accept when he
gives me confirmation. You can’t go out by assumption! That’s how people get brought into
captivity. Why? Because they refused to see something through. Assuming is an excuse for
laziness. No assuming. You had better have confirmation and you must see it through. The
word tells us about the servant with the talents. What did he do with the talents? He was the one
that got them taken all away and given to someone else. Do you know why? He didn’t see it
through, but the other ones did. Hallelujah. And to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.
So the anointing of the Holy Spirit brings us sight! But you can still have the Holy Spirit and be

-5-
filled and choose not to see! You can sit there and pray in the Spirit all day long and choose not
to see!! You can go to 14 services in a day and still not see. Because God does not force us to
see. He allows us to see.

How many times have you said things you wish you had not? Or you did something you wish
you had not done. Or you bought something you wished you had not bought. Or you did
something on the job you wished you had not. You know why? You did not see it through.
You didn’t allow the Holy Spirit to give you insight to see it through. Because it was a thing of
want that blinded us. Insight. So you can see in. In-sight – in the Spirit sight!

PSALM 25:12-15
Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself
shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the LORD is
with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. Show means that you will see it.
My eyes are ever toward the LORD—Hallelujah! In other words, he is laboring unto the Lord no
matter what he does! He is willing to see things through! He shall pluck my feet out of the net.
If you are allowing the Spirit to show you, to give you insight, you will find that the devil’s traps
that are set for you will not affect you! The Lord will pull you out of it every time. People are
looking at the traps of the devil instead of keeping their eyes on the Lord as they are going
through a circumstance. But if you are getting that insight from the Holy Spirit, you are seeing
already what God is having you to do! As you are going through it, every snare the devil had
planned for you, he will get snared in himself! He can’t touch you! The devil cannot touch the
perfect will of God. He cannot touch the perfect will of God! So when you are getting beat-up,
thrown down, cast out, and all kinds of things are happening—do you know why? You are out
of the perfect will of God. It doesn’t mean that we won’t have trials and tribulations. It doesn’t
mean that we won’t be tested. But you will see the devil snared in everything he tries to do.
And you will walk. The hindrances will be there. The walls will be there but they will be
brought down. And you will walk. You won’t decrease, you will increase. God is not one who
decreases. He increases. He told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. He says, I’ve come
to bring life and life more abundantly. Then why aren’t believers walking in abundant life?
They are not seeing it through. We should be seeing it through. We should be walking in
abundant life. Healthy and prosperous in Spirit and in truth with knowledge. And in finances.
So we need to keep our eyes towards the Lord.

You know we talk about three things that trigger people, especially if you have come out of a
drug or alcohol circumstance—actually anything, even pornography any addictive state. Three
things that trigger people are people, places and things. Do you know how many people who
have gotten cleaned up and whatever and they saw an old friend and decided to hang around
them for a while, the next thing you know—they didn’t see it through because the Spirit was
trying to warn them they were going to fall. They would go to a place and they didn’t see it
through. They began to purchase certain things and they didn’t see it through and the next thing
you know they can’t afford those things. It brought them into debt and they had to get rid of
them. The Spirit was trying to show them what was what but they didn’t see it through because
of a want.

-6-
REVELATION 3:18
I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments,
that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your
eyes with eye salve, that you may see. That you may see! You know even our guys in the class
at the jail and in our Total Freedom drug program, when they first start out, everything is great
and they are able to see. And the Spirit is telling them, okay I want you to go to the residence.
And they are able to see and hold on to that! They end up coming here and getting freed up and
serving God and whatever. But what happens is that the devil likes to take that too. They begin
to look at me, me and me. Instead of what the Spirit had showed them already to see through.
They don’t complete what God asked them to do from the beginning. What happens is that they
lose everything all over again. Because when the Spirit shows you and you see through, that
means he is asking you to complete what he already showed you. So we need to have eye salve.
That’s the anointing! Jesus put eye salve on the one guy that was blind—he mixed it with mud
and saliva. Jesus can spit on me all day long! Praise be to God! Hallelujah! Whatever he is
going to touch is going to be made whole!! Think about the woman with the issue of blood and
we hear that over and over and over. Here is a woman that gave up everything to try and get the
physical healing. She was out of money. Jesus was in town! The evangelist was in town! The
Spirit was moving on her. She actually saw it through. Even though physically she wasn’t
healed yet, spiritually she was. Then all she needed to do was make contact! You know what
she had to do? Complete what she saw! When she completed what she saw she was made
whole. Instantly. She had to beat and press through and touch the hem of His garment—she
knew! She saw it that that’s all she needed to do was touch Him and that she would be totally
healed! Now her circumstance caused her to go after Him. She was out of money. She was
dying. No where to go. She probably had lost her home and everything else. Street bound. It
was over with. She was getting ready to die. Unfortunately sometimes we have to get in those
circumstances to look up. But we don’t have to. If we will see things through we won’t get into
those circumstances. We can all sit in here and reflect on so many things that we didn’t see
through that brought us into bondage and how we lost this and how we lost that. We can’t go
back to the past. But we can learn from it!

2 KINGS 6:9-17
Don’t let the devil beat you up. Jesus loves us. Don’t let the devil beat you up. This is for me
and everyone. One of the things we teach here is truth. It’s not about soulish ministry. It’s
about the ministry of the Spirit. We want to get straightened up, not puffed up! Verse 9, And
the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, “Beware that you do not pass this place, for
the Syrians are coming down there.” So the man of God, the prophet saw something where he
wanted to send a message to the king of Israel not to go by this one place because the Syrians
were going to ambush him. Verse 10, Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which
the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or
twice. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called
his servants and said to them, “Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?” He
was upset. Every time he tried to snag the king of Israel, he couldn’t because the Lord showed
the man of God what to do. And one of his servants said, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha,
the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”
So he said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him.” And it was told him, saying,
“Surely he is in Dothan.” Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and

-7-
they came by night and surrounded the city. And when the servant of the man of God arose
early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his
servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” Now the servant of Elisha was
freaked out. He saw this huge army there. So Elisha said to him in verse 16, “Do not fear, for
those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Now his servant didn’t see
anybody with them. Verse 17, And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that
he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the
mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. If we will just see. The word
tells us that one angel can slay 185,000 people. The word tells us that we have a legion of angels
on our behalf. We lose sight of the fact we are the King’s kids. Offspring of the Anointed One
and His Anointing. Heirs of Christ. Seeds of Abraham chosen and predestined to be conformed
into his image and likeness. We lose sight because we get caught up in the now of our
circumstances and we don’t see things through. If we see things through we will see the other
side. And we will have victory.

2 KINGS 2:1-14
And it came to pass, when the LORD was about to take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind,
that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. Then Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here, please, for the
LORD has sent me on to Bethel.” But Elisha said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I
will not leave you!” So they went down to Bethel. Now Elisha saw something through. He said
no way Jose!! You are not getting out of my sight because there is something I see that is not
just temporary. There is something I see that is not just right here—I’m seeing something
through here and you are not getting out of my sight. I am following you all the way! Now the
sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that
the LORD will take away your master from over you today?” And he said, “Yes, I know; keep
silent!” In other words, Shut up! Listen, you will always have opposition from seeing things
through. Don’t think the devil is just going to sit there and let you see through. He won’t. You
will have opposition. He does not want you to see through to the other side! Why? That is
where the trap is at. The devil’s greatest weapon is deception. Verse 4, Then Elijah said to him,
“Elisha, stay here, please, for the LORD has sent me on to Jericho.” But he said, “As the
LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they came to Jericho. He was still
seeing it through. He didn’t know what lay ahead but he was seeing it through because there was
something the Spirit was showing him. You know sometimes the Spirit is showing you
something and you don’t even understand it. But you know that you have to go. But you will
not get that if you are not fellowshipping in the Spirit. And it’s not assuming. It’s knowing!
Because you are fellowshipping with the Spirit and you know it’s character now. He doesn’t
have to explain every little thing to us. In fact, after a period of time he won’t explain every little
thing to me and you! Now he expects you to know his character. And when he unctions you to
do whatever, you know that it’s Him. Now the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came to
Elisha and said to him, “Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you
today?” So he answered, “Yes, I know; keep silent!” Again, he wasn’t going to let anything
interfere with what the Spirit showed Him. Because he saw through. Then Elijah said to him,
“Stay here, please, for the LORD has sent me on to the Jordan.” But he said, “As the LORD
lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU. I will not lose
focus. I will not be deterred in any way. Nothing is going to interfere with what I see!! Nothing
will interfere. Nothing. We want to have insight. We want to go though. Verse 7, And fifty

-8-
men of the sons of the prophets went and stood facing them at a distance, while the two of them
stood by the Jordan. Now Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was
divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground. They went to the
other side. If Elisha were to have said okay I will wait here, he would never have gone to the
other side. Now the Spirit brought him to the other side because he was getting ready to give
him something. And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask!
What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double
portion of your spirit be upon me.” See when God gives you something and you complete it, he
can trust you. Then he says, Ask me now. You don’t have to go ask him. He will tell you, Ask
me! Why? Because he can trust you to complete what he gave you. People struggle to get
things because they haven’t completed the first thing God gave them. Verse 10, So he said,
“You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me—He was saying you still have to
continue following this mission of sight. If you see me, you can have it! But if you don’t, you
blow it. You have made it to the other side, you have asked what you wanted. Now to complete
this you must complete the vision, you must complete the sight that I have given you to follow.
You must see it through. So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me
when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” He still needed to
keep focused. Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire
appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind
into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel
and its horsemen!” In other words, he knew! He knew that the mission had been completed.
So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. He
also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank
of the Jordan. Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water,
and said, “Where is the LORD God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the water, it was
divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over. He went to another side. He had to go over
two sides to get the double anointing. He saw it through. There is a reward for seeing things
through. There is also a reward for not seeing them through—and it’s not a pleasant one.

I SAMUEL 17:21-33; 37, 41-46

David—Brother David was out hanging out with the sheep. For Israel and the Philistines had
drawn up in battle array, army against army. And David left his supplies in the hand of the
supply keeper, ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers. Then as he talked with them,
there was the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, coming up from the armies of
the Philistines; and he spoke according to the same words. So David heard them. And all the
men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him and were dreadfully afraid. So the men of
Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel;
and it shall be that the man who kills him the king will enrich with great riches, will give him his
daughter, and give his father’s house exemption from taxes in Israel.” Then David spoke to the
men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and
takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should
defy the armies of the living God?” David was beginning to see something. And the people
answered him in this manner, saying, “So shall it be done for the man who kills him.” Now
Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger was aroused against
David [here was more opposition], and he said, “Why did you come down here? And with whom
have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your

-9-
heart, for you have come down to see the battle.” And David said, “What have I done now? Is
there not a cause? Then he turned from him toward another and said the same thing; and these
people answered him as the first ones did. Now when the words which David spoke were heard,
they reported them to Saul; and he sent for him. Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart
fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.” David saw something.
And you know what? He was going to get opposition but he was going to see it through. Verse
33, Then Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for
you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.” Here was the second opposition. First
his brother and then the king of Israel said, You’re crazy kid! Go to verse 37, Moreover David
said, “The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He
will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be
with you!” Go to verse 41, So the Philistine came, and began drawing near to David, and the
man who bore the shield went before him. And when the Philistine looked about and saw David,
he disdained him; for he was only a youth, ruddy and good-looking. So the Philistine said to
David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” This was the third opposition. And the
Philistine cursed David by his gods. And the Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will
give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!” Then David said to the
Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in
the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day
the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And
this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild
beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. He saw the
completed product! What happened? David ended up hitting him right between the eyes—and
took his head! Because he saw it through before he even did it. You come to me with javelin
and spear—you come to me in the flesh. I come to you in the Spirit! I come to you in the Spirit
—because I have insight! I see the complete! The Lord looks at you and I as complete! He
looks at Jesus Christ on the cross. That’s why you and I are here. He doesn’t look at us! He
looks at the completed finished product of what Jesus paid for you and I. There was victory,
wasn’t there. Victory in seeing it through! Victory!

JUDGES 16:1-7; 13, 16, 21

Now Samson went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went in to her. He obviously didn’t see it
through! He was a Nazirite. He was supposed to be holy and so forth—separated unto God. He
didn’t see it through. One of the first snares is the opposite sex. When the Gazites were told,
“Samson has come here!” they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the gate
of the city. They were quiet all night, saying, “In the morning, when it is daylight, we will kill
him.” And Samson lay low till midnight; then he arose at midnight, took hold of the doors of the
gate of the city and the two gateposts, pulled them up, bar and all, put them on his shoulders,
and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron. Afterward it happened that he loved a
woman in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. Another one. Samson did not see
through. And the lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, “Entice him, and find
out where his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind
him to afflict him; and every one of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver.” So Delilah
said to Samson, “Please tell me where your great strength lies, and with what you may be bound
to afflict you.” Because she was getting paid to find out. And Samson said to her, “If they bind
me with seven fresh bowstrings, not yet dried, then I shall become weak, and be like any other

- 10 -
man.” Now he is lying to her. He ended up lying to her three times. You would think that
Samson would get the fact that the girl was trying to snare him! He didn’t get it because he
wasn’t seeing through. He was only interested in the satisfaction of “now.” He was called to be
the deliverer of Israel! Because he didn’t fulfill what God asked him to do, Israel went into
captivity. Three times! You would think Samson would get it by now! Go to verse 13, Delilah
said to Samson, “Until now you have mocked me and told me lies. Tell me what you may be
bound with.” And he said to her, “If you weave the seven locks of my head into the web of the
loom”— She did that too and it didn’t work. Verse 16, And it came to pass, when she pestered
him daily with her words and pressed him, so that his soul was vexed to death—You would think
that he would get it by now! The girl was obviously trying to kill him. For money! And he
wouldn’t see it because he was blinded. He wouldn’t see it through. Go to verse 21. So he
finally opened his heart to her and told her the whole thing. He didn’t see it through. Then the
Philistines took him and put out his eyes—Let me share something with you. When you don’t
see something through, your eyes will be put out! Why? You will be blinded. Totally lost.
Vision, sight, everything! Then the Philistines took him and put out his eyes, and brought him
down to Gaza. They bound him with bronze fetters, and he became a grinder in the prison.
Captivity and blinded. He didn’t see it through.

2 SAMUEL 11:1; 12:1-14

Now we know David was a powerful man of God, a king and so forth. Well he blew it too! He
didn’t see something through. But he learned by his mistakes. Verse 1, It happened in the
spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, [So they were supposed to go out to
battle] that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the
people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem. So he was supposed
to be somewhere and he wasn’t. This ended up getting him in a snare of sin. He ended up
hanging out and he became “Peeping David.” He went out on the roof, he saw some girl that
was bathing out there, called her and had sex with her and whatever. She got pregnant. Come to
find out she was the wife of his right hand man. He ended up having his right hand man killed.
She ended up moving in with him and then something happened. Now go to chapter 12, verse 1,
Then the LORD sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him: “There were two
men in one city, one rich and the other poor. The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and
herds. But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and
nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and
drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him. And a traveler
came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare
one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared
it for the man who had come to him.” So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man,
and he said to Nathan, “As the LORD lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! And he
shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.” Then
Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘I anointed you
king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave you your master’s house and
your master’s wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that
had been too little, I also would have given you much more! Why have you despised the
commandment of the LORD, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the
sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people
of Ammon. Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have

- 11 -
despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ Thus says the LORD:
‘Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives
before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of
this sun. For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.’” So
David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” And Nathan said to David, “The
LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die. However, because by this deed you have
given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you
shall surely die.” Understand this. Because David didn’t see this thing through, one of the
things that happened was he brought a curse on his family line. He lost a child. His sword
would never rest and he could not build the house of God. Because of the blood on his hands.
Because he didn’t see it through. Even though God forgave him—you still reap what you sow.
All of us in here are still reaping what we have sown in our lives, even though God has forgiven
us. But how much more reaping do you want to pick up? That’s up to us.

MATTHEW 7:1-5
Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and
with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. Now Jesus never said not to judge,
you are supposed to judge. How else are you going to know what to do. Especially as to who
you are going to hang around with. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but
do not consider the plank in your own eye? That’s someone who is not checking himself out.
Why? He is only looking at “now” and can’t see things through. Blinded. Or how can you say
to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?
Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove
the speck from your brother’s eye. Hello! So Jesus didn’t say don’t judge. He said first judge
yourself! Because if you are trying to tell someone else what to do and you are still doing the
same old things because you are not willing to see things through, then you had better shut your
mouth! Because you are going to be judged for trying to correct somebody else. It will come to
manifest. Yeah but you don’t understand!! This person did this …. Well what about you! Well
that was different. No, you didn’t see it through. And because you didn’t see it through by
trying to correct someone else, you will be judged by God. Get sight!

MATTHEW 6:22-23
The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of
light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that
is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Let me share something with you. What you
see is what you get! What you refuse to see, will get you! Everyone of us has fallen into that
category because we wouldn’t see something through. What we wanted “now” blinded us.

MATTHEW 26:36-39
Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here
while I go and pray over there.” And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and
He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly
sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.” He went a little farther and fell on His
face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless,
not as I will, but as You will.” Jesus was seeing through. And he knew what was up. Then He
came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch

- 12 -
with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing,
but the flesh is weak.” Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father,
if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.” And He came and
found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. So He left them, went away again, and
prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then He came to His disciples and said to them,
“Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being
betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.” He went
and prayed, Lord if it’s possible let this cup pass me by but not my will but yours. Why? He saw
through. He was seeing it through because he knew what the reward was going to be. His
children. He had to go through it. Because there was a reward—lost souls into the kingdom. If
Jesus didn’t see it through, you and I would not be here. We wouldn’t be filled with the Holy
Ghost!

EPHESIANS 6:5-9
Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and
trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as
bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to
the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same
from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. Not with eyeservice. The eyes of the Lord are upon
you. Those that act one way in front of people and another way behind closed doors, are full of
baloney. And Jesus knows it. When they are in front of you they act all holy and like they have
it together but behind closed doors there is no fear of God.

2 PETER 1:16-17
For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. We want to be
eyewitnesses. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to
Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” That’s
what we want to hear. This is my beloved child in whom I am well pleased, who is willing to see
things through and not get caught up with the things of the world and self. Let’s start practicing
seeing things through. You will find out that you won’t hurt other people and you won’t hurt
you! You will be more victorious and you won’t bring shame to the name of the Lord. And you
won’t be a fool and a granola saying God has told you to do all these things when you are not
seeing it through and it’s not coming to pass. And it’s not working right. AMEN!
