SAMPLE LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH V

LEARNERS’ PROFILE
This lesson is prepared for all Grade 11 Senior High School Students of the Philippine Science High School – Caraga
Region Campus. The students are generally kinesthetic and auditory.

LEARNING COMPETENCY
The student shall show competence in:
a.) Understanding the importance of communication in the daily life.

I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a.) identify the importance of communication by giving situations;
b.) apply clarity of communication by giving instructions; and
c.) create an instructional video exhibiting skills in giving clear instructions.

1.) Group the students into 4.
2.) Give the following instructions:
a. Each group will be given a pen and a paper and will be given five (5) minutes for this activity;
b. Each group shall write a five-item instruction for a student who is having a problem with computers;
c. After the given time, each group will choose a representative to follow the instructions of the other
groups.
d. Reflection and analysis of the activity will be done.

IV. ASSESSMENT PROCESS


The students will be assessed through a performance-based assessment.

Instructional Video-Making.
Instructions:
With your groups, create an instructional video of your choice. Video shall be a minimum of two (2)
minutes. The criteria will be as follows:

Clarity of Instruction 60%


Visual Appeal 20%
Audio and Visual Quality 20%
