Overview of devices
The method of measurement employed in the TURBIQUANT® 1100 / 1500 / 3000 IR conforms with EN ISO 7027,
that used in the TURBIQUANT® 1100 / 1500 / 3000 T models follows the recommendations of the USEPA.

TURBIQUANT® 1500 IR or 1500 T
These two devices have large and readily legible displays and can be
easily operated with just a few keys. The user guidance via the display
is state of the art. A high sample throughput can be achieved by
means of a pour through assembly.

TURBIQUANT® 3000 IR or 3000 T
In addition to the specified features of the TURBIQUANT® 1500 IR and
1500 T the user can select different measurement modes and

indications of the measurement results. The TURBIQUANT 3000 IR,
for example, can display the following units:
NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units, 90° scattered-light measurement)
EBC (Recommendation of the European Brewery Commission)
FNU (Formazine Nephelometric Units, i.e. calibration with formazine)
FAU (Formazine Attenuation Units, i.e.: DIN measurement above 40
FNU).

AMCO-AEPA-1® Microspheres are cited as Primary Calibration Standards in compliance with USEPA Method 180.1. (see also:
Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater 21st Edition (2005), Section 2130, Turbidity).
The standards are also accepted as “Alternative Use Secondary Standards” equivalent to freshly prepared Formazin
suspensions Ref. EN IS0 7027: 1999 Water Quality - Determination of Turbidity.
