INTRODUCTION

The language of Physics is measuring the physical quantities from the object. Through measuring
its innate properties a person can derive and draw numerous aspects from the world around. In Physics,
there are seven fundamental physical quantities that can be utilize and analyzed into more complex
formulas. (1). Some of these fundamental units even can be combined and can come in form as speed
and force. Therefore, every measurement yields a numerical result for the researchers to gather and
relate the data.

Specifically, the researchers familiarized themselves with the use of Vernier caliper and
micrometer caliper in measuring small lengths to acquire data in the form of length solid objects.
Measuring instruments comes in different shape and sizes with unique purposes. The Vernier caliper is a
tool that aids at measuring the internal and outside lengths as well as depth of an object. The micrometer
caliper is for smaller objects; it is usually defined as a gauge since it measures smaller distances and
thicknesses. (2). The triple beam balance was also utilized in particular for its precise capability to
measure masses. Comparison of precision and accuracy among the different instruments used were also
taken note of in the experiment. (3).
