MATERIALS AND METHODS

The mass of each member was first measured using a weighing scale in kilograms. The nearest stairway
was then used and the height of one step of the stairway was recorded. The members of the group then
climbed the stairs to the 3rd floor individually, measuring the time taken to reach the 3rd floor, each with
two trials. The first trial followed the members climbing up to the 3rd floor with a slow speed, while the
second trial was performed with a faster speed. After recording the data of each member, the table of
values with their corresponding formulas is shown in table 1.
