what if human being is

causing climate change?

september 16th - CLASS RULES
september 23th - DISASTERS

WE MADE A LIST OF DISASTERS

AND THEN TRIED TO ORDER FROM
MOST TO LEAST DANGEROUS.
september 23th - DISASTERS
AND CLASSIFIED 18
DISASTERS IN 4
CATEGORIES:
- BIOLOGICAL
- TECHNOLOGICAL
- GEOPHYSICAL
- METEOROLOGICAL

SOME OF US TRIED TO
FIND THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN: HURRICANE,
TYPHOON AND CYCLONE.
september 30th - DISASTERS
We checked the
classification of
disasters and
discussed where
to locate some of
them, depending
on their origin:

FAMINE
WILDFIRE
EPIDEMICS
...
september 30th - PLANNING 1st QUARTER

Planning the quarter, finally we

decided to start with CLIMATE
CHARACTERISTICS ON EARTH
OCTOBER 7th - CLIMATE CHARACTERISTICS ON EARTH
There are 3 elements
that influence the
climate on the
earth:
- latitude
- altitude
- distance from a
body of water
OCTOBER 7th - CLIMATE CHARACTERISTICS ON EARTH
We classified climates in 3
categories: HOT, TEMPERATE
and COLD.

As we couldn’t finish the

activity about CLIMATES IN
SPAIN, we had to reprogram our
schedule.
OCTOBER 14th - CLIMATES ON SPAIN

We played with a BALL OF

YARN in order to remember
vocabulary about DISASTERS.
OCTOBER 14th - CLIMATES OF SPAIN

Working in pairs we analyzed the characteristics of 5

climates in SPAIN: MEDITERRANEAN, CONTINENTAL
MEDITERRANEAN, MOUNTAIN, SUBTROPICAL & OCEANIC.
OCTOBER 21st - CLIMATES OF SPAIN
Using small whiteboards we
analyzed several climate
graphs, in order to decide
which climate represents
each one.
OCTOBER 21st - LAYER’S OF THE EARTH Everyone made a drawing
about earth’s layers.
OCTOBER 21st - LAYER’S OF THE EARTH Everyone made a drawing
about earth’s layers.
OCTOBER 21st - LAYER’S OF THE EARTH
We made 3 groups and watched
a vídeo about earth’s
layers. Every group had to
HYDROSPHERE take notes about 1
layers of the earth.
of the

GEOSPHERE
ATMOSPHERE
OCTOBER 28th - LAYER’S OF THE EARTH
Each group defined the characteristics of 1 layer of the earth
and explained to the class.

OCTOBER 28th - LAYER’S OF THE EARTH Everyone did again the
drawing of the layers.
OCTOBER 28th - LAYER’S OF THE EARTH Everyone did again the

OCTOBER 28th - LAYER’S OF THE EARTH

At the end of the session, we

watched a video introducing a
new SPHERE: the BIOSPHERE
NOVEMBER 11th - NATURE TRANSFORMS THE LANDSCAPE
LA MOLA & EL MONTAU WORKED ALL TOGETHER
First we remembered the layers of the earth and watched
two videos about spheres: GEO AND BIO - HYDRO AND ATMO
NOVEMBER 11th - NATURE TRANSFORMS THE LANDSCAPE
THEN WE MADE PAIRS:
- 1 member of LA MOLA
- 1 member of EL MONTAU

We had to analize
pictures and think how
nature had transformed
the landscape in each
situation.

Using whiteboards we had

to write down our
opinion about every
picture.
NOVEMBER 18th - BIOSPHERE TRANSFORMS THE LANDSCAPE

LA MOLA & EL MONTAU WORKED ALL TOGETHER

We continued the activity that have started last week. In
this session we saw that LIVING CREATURES (BIOSPHERE)
also transform landscapes.
NOVEMBER 25th - PLANNING & SELF EVALUATION
DECEMBER 2nd - THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT

We had to compose a text

explaining what the
GREENHOUSE EFFECT is.
DECEMBER 2nd - THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT
Then we visited
the NASA
webpage.

There we
discovered some
GASES that cause
the GREENHOUSE
EFFECT, and saw
the EVOLUTION of
CO2 LEVELS from
https://climatekids.nasa.gov/greenhouse-cards/ 2002 to 2016.

achine
DECEMBER 2nd - THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT
We discussed if the
GREENHOUSE EFFECT is
GOOD or BAD for the
planet. We decided that
it is necessary, but
becomes BAD when too
much gases accumulate.

After that we thought

about the FACTORS that
cause the accumulation
of GREENHOUSE EFFECT
GASES on the
atmosphere, and decided
if they’re natural or
man-made.
DECEMBER 2nd - THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT

Finally we visited
again the NASA web, and
fought against CO2 in a
vídeo game.

DECEMBER 9th - global warming

In the first part of the class we made memory of

the GASES that cause the GREENHOUSE EFFECT.
Using these images we made couples to work during
the class.
DECEMBER 9th - global warming
After that we made a
running dictation,
finding names of
several factors that
send gases to the
atmosphere and provoke
GLOBAL WARMING.
DECEMBER 9th - global warming

Then we classified those

factors in two categories:

- NATURAL ORIGIN
- HUMAN ORIGIN

We realized that human

activity produces a lot of
GREENHOUSE EFFECT GASES.
DECEMBER 9th - global warming
We finished
the class
watching two
videos that
show the
evolution of
temperatures
on Earth and
the ice
decrease at
the North
Pole.

DECEMBER 16th - global warming consequences

Individually we tried to
create a mindmap of the
CONSEQUENCES OF GLOBAL
WARMING.
DECEMBER 16th - global warming consequences
It was really difficult,
so we made groups to
share our opinions and
complete the mindmap.
JANUARY 13th - consequences & solutions
After Christmas we
continued
classifying
Consequences.
After all we
realized that all
the consequences
are interrelated.
Every group made
their own mindmap.
Here you have an
example, and it is
also a summary.
JANUARY 13th - consequences & solutions
And we tried to find SOLUTIONS to the main CAUSES
OF GLOBAL WARMING. Here come some ideas ...

- NOT TO LIGHT FIRES ON THE FOREST.

- TO PUT FENCES AROUND FORESTS.
- TO CLEAN FORESTS.
FOREST FIRES - NOT TO SMOKE IN FOREST AREAS.

- TO CHANGE ENERGY SOURCE OF FACTORIES TO

HYDROELECTRIC.
- TO STOP MAKING EXCESSIVE PRODUCTION.
- TO REPAIR THINGS INSTEAD OF BUYING NEW ONES.
FACTORIES
JANUARY 13th - consequences & solutions
- TO CUT A LIMITED NUMBER OF TREES.
- TO USE OTHER MATERIALS TO HEAT HOUSES THAN
WOOD LOGS.
DEFORESTATION - TO PLANT NEW TREES.

- TO USE SOLAR PANELS.

- TO USE WINDMILLS.
ENERGY
PRODUCTION

- TO USE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: BUS, METRO

- TO USE ELECTRIC CARS OR CARS WITHOUT CO2.
- TO AVOID ACCUMULATION OF VEHICLES.
- TO USE BICYCLES.
PRIVATE VEHICLES - NOT TO MAKE CAR/MOTORBIKE RACES.
JANUARY 13th - consequences & solutions
- TO USE OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORT.
- TO INVENT ELECTRIC PLANES.

FLIGHTS

- TO PRODUCE PRODUCTS NEXT TO SELLING PLACE

(LOCAL PRODUCTION)
MERCHANDISE
TRANSPORTATIONS

- TO RECYCLE.
- TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF WASTE.

WASTE BURN

- TO EAT LESS MEAT AND MORE VEGETABLES.

JANUARY 27th - CLIMATE IN THE FUTURE
To finish our project we thought about the climate of the
future.

First we made a CLIMOGRAPH using data of Olesa de Bonesvalls in

2019.
JANUARY 27th - CLIMATE IN THE FUTURE
After that everyone made their own CLIMOGRAPH, that answered the
next question:
JANUARY 27th - CLIMATE IN THE FUTURE

“How I would like

the climate to be in
Olesa de Bonesvalls
in 2050?”
