 INTRODUCTION

Industrial visit was carried out at NILKANTH STEEL

INDUSTRIES. on 23rd January 2018 especially for 6th
semester student. The main objective behind the visit
was to make student aware about how various activities
related to production, marketing, financing and human
resource are carried out in company.
I along with 45 students left for visit at 9 a.m. and took
about half an hour to cover the distance. The company is
located at Dediyasan GIDC mahesana.
As soon as we reached company we were guided by Mr.
Dashrathbhai Patel who is the owner of the industries.
 MANUFACTURING PRODUCTS

Nilkanth Steel industries limited. Producing main

three types of bars (1)flat
(2)square
(3)Round

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Nilkanth steel industries pvt. Ltd. Are produce so many

products like falt,square,round,etc.. the process of
manufacture by ROLLING MILL is understand very
deep and stage wise explain below.

1. Purchase raw material

2. Cut the plat
3. Give heat at high temperature
4. Passing the rolling
5. Packing

(1) Purchasing Raw Materials:-

The basic requirement is purchasing raw material for
manufacturimg the products.They purchase raw material like
the iron which is used in Sheeps.

(2) Cut Plates:-

Purchase raw materials have been cut in the required
size and weight. If it has not being cut in the fixed
size then the output of bar is not match to desired
size. If we are going to sel this product, then there is
no value for it. Hence in market accuracy of size of
bar is must be required.
 (3) Furnace the plates: -
That cut plates are heated up to the required
temperature in chamber running by ignite coal. And
specially the coal is coming from South Africa. From
the hot metal, that is easy to make bar by rolling. We
can give easily shape to the bar from metal alloy.

(4) Passing into Rolling: -

The hot metal is
now entered rolling stand where rools are fitted per the
required size and type of the final product.
 (5) Packing: -
After passing the six rolls which are
fitted in the rolling mill established accordingly we get
the required size of final product.After that final product
has been prepared as the workers take the weight and cut
that bar in accurate size and weight.And last the product
is ready for seling to Retailer.
