1:-Noun (‫)اسم‬
Name of Person, Place or thing is Called noun.
For example: - Aslam, Doctor, Mosque, Ball, Chair.
Noun is Five Type:- Common Noun, Proper Noun, Collective Noun, Countable Nouns.

i. Common Noun (‫ )اسم نکرہ‬:- The name of a common place, person or a thing is called as
common noun, for example Aslam, Lahore, Holy Quran.
ii. Collective Noun (‫)اسم جمع‬:- The words that refer to a group of People, Place or Things are
called Collective noun. For Example:- Police, Team, Flock etc.
iii. Countable Nouns:- Countable nouns refer to People or things that can be counted . For
Example: - a chair, an hour.
iv. Uncountable Nouns: - Uncountable nouns refer to People or things that can’t be counted.
For Example: - Tea, Wind, Heat.

2:-Pronoun (‫)اسم ضمیر‬


Pronoun is a word which is used in place of a noun. For examples:-
Quaid-e-Azam is our national hero. He was born in Karachi.
Table of Personal Pronouns: - First Person, Second Person, Third Person.

i. First Person: I ‫ میں‬Our ‫ ہماری‬/‫ ہمارا‬We ‫ ہم‬Me ‫ مجھے‬My ‫ میری‬/ ‫میرا‬


Us ‫ ہمیں‬.
ii. Second Person: - You ‫ آپ‬/‫ تم‬Your ‫ تمہاری‬/ ‫ تمہارا‬You ‫تم‬.
iii. Third Person:-
He ‫(واحد اسم مذکر کے لئے) وہ‬ She ‫(واحد اسم مونث کے لئے) وہ‬
They ‫ (جمع اسم مذکر اور مونث دونوں کے لئے) وہ‬His ‫اس کا‬
Her ‫اس کی‬ their ‫ اُن کی‬/ ‫اُن کا‬
Its ‫اس کا‬ Him ‫اسے‬
Them ‫انہیں‬ It ‫یہ‬
3:-Verb (‫)اسم فیل‬
An action word is called as verb. A sentence remains incomplete without verb for examples
Eat, Tell, Lie, Go, Do.

4:-Adverb (‫)اسم متعلق‬


Adverb is a word that adds something to the meaning of a verb adjective or another adverb.
For examples:-

The soldiers fought bravely.

5:-Adjective (‫)اسم صفت‬
The word that explains a noun or adds meaning to a noun is called as adjective.
For examples:- hot Tea, big house, happy girl, old man
6:-Preposition (‫)حروف جار‬
The words that determine the relation between two things are called Preposition.
For examples:-
i. The ball is in the box,
ii. The ball is on the box.
iii. The ball is under the box.

7:- Conjunction (‫)حروف عطف‬


Conjunctions are the words that join two words clauses or sentences.
Some commonly used Conjunction:-
and ‫اور‬ As if ‫گویا کہ‬ provided ‫بشرطیکہ‬
because ‫کیونکہ‬ Until/unless ‫جب تک کہ‬ so that ‫تاکہ‬
Lest ‫ ایسا نہ ہوکہ‬،‫ورنہ‬ But ‫لیکن‬ yet ‫بھی‬، ‫ ابھی‬،‫پھر بھی‬
That ‫کہ‬ Therefore ‫اسلئے‬
8:-Interjection (‫)فجائیہ کلمہ‬
Interjection is the words used to express sudden feelings or emotions.
Table of Interjection Words:-
Alas! ‫افسوس یا غم کے لئے‬ Hurrah! ‫خوشی کےلئے‬
Ah! ‫حیرانگی کے لئے‬ Ouch! ‫تکلیف یا درد کےلئے‬
Yahoo! ‫جوش وجذبے کےلئے‬ Oops! ‫غلطی ہوجانے پر‬
Brave ‫بہادری کےلئے‬ Hush ‫خاموشی کےلئے‬
Oh! ‫افسوس کےلئے‬ Fie! ‫لعنت ہے‬
