Ⅲ. Scope of structural construction drawing design audit service

  Review design guidelines based on local building codes and applicable
international codes and make recommendations for design review.

 Perform independent computer analysis of the lateral resistance system

and propose design review opinions based on the analysis results

 Check bearing capacity and deformation under limit state of

serviceability and bearing capacity. Check the deformation and bearing
capacity of the weak layer under the earthquake, check whether the
structure meets the requirements of construction load.

 Conduct performance evaluation of tower D01's structure to ensure that

the whole structure does not collapse; Check the elastic-plastic deformation
of weak layer (such as tree column, cross-storey column) and the bearing
capacity of complex node (such as tree column node bearing capacity)
under rare earthquake.

 Conduct typical member capacity check calculation and seismic check

calculation, and give final relevant review opinions.

 Review drilling plans provided by local geotechnical engineers as well as
geological research reports and basic designs, and provide review
comments.

 Review the structural design drawing and description summary of the

project, and provide design review comments:

Requirement of design review opinions in construction drawing stage:

 For sections of concrete or rigid concrete structures (composite structural

design), review the dimensions and reinforcement and detailed sample
drawings of typical beams, floors, columns, shear walls, foundations,
foundation walls, and other associated components.

 For steel structures, review the dimensions of the primary and secondary
beams, columns, braces, and lateral force supporting frames of typical
steel structures, as well as the details of selected connections and
standard connections.

Safety review materials to be provided by the client:

• provide information relevant to this review. Such as wind tunnel
report.

• provide final geological survey report (including safety assessment of

seismic site activities of the project)

• provide relevant design documents (building, structure,

electromechanical, curtain wall, etc.), including calculation books and CAD
documents.

• other information related to the review.

SGI review Report provided:

• provide construction drawing review report for structure D01 tower.

Both Chinese and English versions are needed.

Please find the etabs model of CBD Tower D01 in the attachment. I have assigned the loads for the
model but there are some notes as the following.

1. Gravity load: as in the loading map and arch. drawings

2. Wind load : following the values in the structural report.
3. Seismic load
- Importance factor: 1
- Spectrum type: 2 (as the information in the item 2.4 of the structural report, different with
item 1.2 (Type 1))
- Mass Source: Dead (1) LL Park/Ret(0.6) LL Resi/Hot(0.3) and LL MEP(0.8)
4. Temp: +-20 0C as in the structural report

If there is any information which is not suitable with the Egyptian code, especially the seismic load,
please help us to adjust them. We will check carefully all of information of the design in the next week.
