About the Gondola:

The Base-to-Base Gondola will feature 8-passenger cabins, two base terminals and two mid-stations, 33 lift towers,
and will be able to transport 1,400 people per hour. The lift is expected to take 2.5 months to construct and will be
2.2 miles long. Expected ride time between the bottom of Squaw Valley and the bottom of Alpine Meadows will be
16 minutes.

Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is committed to ensuring the gondola is sensitive to the environment, native habitat,
and nearby public lands when it is built. To this end, the approved design plan for the gondola prioritizes the
environment at every step. This includes:

 Protecting and preserving all identified critical habitat;

 Avoiding the Granite Chief wilderness;
 Reducing car and shuttle traffic between the two mountains that impacts guests, residents and employees;
 Minimizing visual impacts by limiting the number and height of gondola towers to maintain the scenic
beauty of the area; and
 Eliminating the need to construct permanent access roads by using helicopters and overland crews for
construction.
