Child Protection Policy 2018
1. CARE OF PROPERTY
a. School properties and facilities should be used properly and carefully.
b. The campus and the buildings should be kept clean and orderly at all times.
c. School property damaged by the student must be replaced or repaired by
him/her.
d. Lost and found properties should be reported to any faculty member or
personnel.
2. SAFETY MEASURES
a. No student may leave the school during school hours unless a locator slip is
issued and signed by the teacher concerned to go out from the school
campus.
b. Ordinarily, students should be in school on or before 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
and go out from the school campus at 11:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. unless there
are activities supervised by the teachers.
c. Only students, faculty members, school personnel and other persons who
have legitimate business with the school are allowed to enter in the school
campus/premises. (Department Order No. 30 s. 1972 issued by DECS)
d. No information of any kind is given to unauthorized persons about teachers
and students of Impalutao Integrated School National High School.
Information is given only under circumstance with the approval of the
principal.
e. No student may participate in any outside activity as a school representative
without written approval from the Office of the Principal.
f. No off-school campus activity may be organized without prior notice or written
approval from the Office of the Principal.
g. Parents/Guardians & Visitors with business should be directed to the
Guidance Office.
h. Identification cards are provided by the school to each student to be worn at
all times, both in the campus and inside the classrooms.
i. Damaged or lost ID must be reported to the teacher concerned.
j. No student should be allowed to enter the school campus for any school
activity during off hours without the supervision of the teacher.
k. No meeting shall be conducted by the students held inside the campus
without approval from the Office of the Principal.
l. Any activity held on Saturday, Sunday, off hours & other holidays that require
the presence of the student inside the school campus, should require parent’s
permit or waiver.
5. ATTENDANCE
AS STATED IN DO 18, S. 1991 –POLICY ON ABSENTEEISM AND
TARDINESS
Prompt and perfect attendance is the desired goal of the school. However,
students may be guided by these school regular activities schedule.
a. Flag ceremony will only be done Monday and Flag retreat will be held every
Friday afternoon.
b. All students are required to attend the flag ceremony in the morning every
Monday and during the flag retreat every Friday.
c. Students must not be absent without a valid reason.
d. Upon the return of the absentee student, he/she must present a signed note
from his/her assigned prefect of discipline. Students who are absent for
considerably long periods are required a letter from the parents or guardian
together with a medical certificate if hospitalized to be issued an admission
slip.
e. Any student who is absent for at least five consecutive days should be
referred to the guidance office for counseling.
f. A student who is habitually tardy is required to bring his/her parents or
guardians for conference with the Guidance Counselor at an appointed time.
School regulations are there for the good of everybody. Discipline shall be
imposed as an aid towards the formation of character. The objective is for
development of self-discipline.
1. Minor Offences
Not attending the Flag ceremony as stated in RA No. 8491
otherwise known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the
Philippines and DO 50, s. 2015.
Disrespecting the Philippine National Flag during Flag
ceremony as stated on DO 50, s. 2015
Habitual Tardiness as stated in DO 18, S. 1991 – Policy on
Absenteeism and Tardiness
Habitual Absenteeism as stated in DO 18, s.1991 – Policy on

Cutting Classes as stated in DO 90, s. 1997 - Prohibiting
Students from Visiting Nearby Malls During Class hours
Littering inside the school campus RA 9729 OTHERWISE
KNOWN AS CLIMATE CHANGE ACT OF 2009 AND DEPED

Using of CELLULLAR PHONES during classes as stated in DO
83, s.2003
Wearing of earrings for boys
Wearing more than 1 set of earrings for girls
Dishonesty
Improper behavior during assemblies, programs, masses and
other activities.
Uttering bad/hurting, libelous words and bad expressions
Getting out of the school campus during school hours without
permission. DO 90, s. 1997 - Prohibiting Students from Visiting
Nearby Malls During Class hours
Loitering around the school while classes are going on.
Horse playing inside the classroom.
2. Major Offences
Drunkenness/ Coming to school under the influence of liquor or
any other drugs violating the RA 9165, Anti Dangerous Drug
Act;
Fighting/Boxing as stated in DM No. 193, s. 2017
Smoking/Drug using or possession violating the RA 9165, Anti
Dangerous Drug Act;
Vandalism and graffiti DepEd ORDER. No. 18, s. 2015.
Carrying/ Cancelling deadly weapons as stated on Act No. 1780
Assaulting/threatening school authorities as stated in Article 282
of the Revised Penal Code
Disrespecting school officials and staff as stated in Article 282 of
the Revised Penal Code
Forging/falsifying/tampering public documents as stated in
Article 171, paragraph 4 of the Revised Penal Code
Gambling OF ANY KIND AND FORM as stated in the P.D. No.
1602
Possessing pornographic materials as stated in DO no. 40, s.
2012 and DO 83, s. 2003
- including cell phone videos displaying pornography or
nudity. Magazines, sketches and drawings.
Organizing unauthorized organizations/gangs
Stealing/ THEFT as stated on R.A. 120
Acts of lasciviousness as stated in R.A. 7610 ( The Child Abuse
Law) in Articles 336 and 339
Gross dishonesty
Gross misconduct
Immorality- engaging in sexual acts inside the school campus
Threats or intimidation of any kind as stated in R.A. 9262
Sanctions:
3rd Offence- offense- meeting with parents with the committee on child
protection shall then be commenced for the child’s endorsement to the
barangay child protection committee for community service of 20 hours.
The said service shall be done after school or from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
for 20 working days.
Rights
2. The right to be heard in accordance with the rules governing the fundamental
rights of freedom of speech and natural justice.
Privileges
1. The privilege of using the name of the School to protect themselves in all
honest and lawful transactions.
2. The privilege of using school facilities to enhance the attainment of their
ultimate objectives in the School
3. The privilege to be certified at the end of their degree programme at the
School upon satisfaction of the requirements
4. The privilege of receiving medical care on campus within the limits of the
available resources provided they have been duly registered at the School
Health Centre
Obligations
Consequent upon the rights and privileges the School confers on students as
members, they are obliged to:
7. GRADING SYSTEM
Under this order, the results of the components of the summative assessment such as
Written Work, Performance Tasks, and Quarterly Assessment will form the bases for the
grade computation.
1. Written Work (WW) – makes sure students can express skills and contents in written
form.
2. Performance Task (PT) – lets learners show what they know and can do in diverse
ways.
3. Quarterly Assessment (QA) – measures student learning at the end of the quarter.
