Below are school rules and regulations of Impalutao Integrated School

1. CARE OF PROPERTY

a. School properties and facilities should be used properly and carefully.
b. The campus and the buildings should be kept clean and orderly at all times.
c. School property damaged by the student must be replaced or repaired by
him/her.
d. Lost and found properties should be reported to any faculty member or
personnel.

2. SAFETY MEASURES

a. No student may leave the school during school hours unless a locator slip is
issued and signed by the teacher concerned to go out from the school
campus.
b. Ordinarily, students should be in school on or before 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
and go out from the school campus at 11:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. unless there
are activities supervised by the teachers.
c. Only students, faculty members, school personnel and other persons who
have legitimate business with the school are allowed to enter in the school
campus/premises. (Department Order No. 30 s. 1972 issued by DECS)
d. No information of any kind is given to unauthorized persons about teachers
and students of Impalutao Integrated School National High School.
Information is given only under circumstance with the approval of the
principal.
e. No student may participate in any outside activity as a school representative
without written approval from the Office of the Principal.
f. No off-school campus activity may be organized without prior notice or written
approval from the Office of the Principal.
g. Parents/Guardians & Visitors with business should be directed to the
Guidance Office.
h. Identification cards are provided by the school to each student to be worn at
all times, both in the campus and inside the classrooms.
i. Damaged or lost ID must be reported to the teacher concerned.
j. No student should be allowed to enter the school campus for any school
activity during off hours without the supervision of the teacher.
k. No meeting shall be conducted by the students held inside the campus
without approval from the Office of the Principal.
l. Any activity held on Saturday, Sunday, off hours & other holidays that require
the presence of the student inside the school campus, should require parent’s
permit or waiver.

3. SCHOOL UNIFORM (OPTIONAL) AS APPROVED BY THE PTCA SY 2017-


2018
a. Students should wear the prescribed uniform or proper school attire every day
except Wednesday.
 Uniforms are optional per DepEd Order No. 45, s. 2008
i. Boys
1. Shoes with socks
2. Black/Dark Blue pants
3. White polo shirts and white undershirts
ii. Girls
1. White blouse with buttons
2. Blue skirt with jumper
3. Shoes with socks
iii. School ID is color coding:
1. First Year – Green
2. Second Year – Yellow
3. Third Year - Red
4. Fourth Year – Blue
b. SSG, boy and girl scouts are authorized to wear their uniforms respectively
c. Students must have a proper haircut and hair color.
i. Acceptable haircut for boys:
1. The hair at the back should not go beyond the collar or
must be 3 inches above the collar line and at least 1 inch
above the ear.
d. Boys must follow the prescribed/tolerable haircut.
e. Boys are not allowed to wear earrings.
f. Girls are not allowed to wear more than one pair of earrings.
g. Students are not allowed to dye their hair. Colored hair is not allowed.

Note: if students should come to school not in uniform, they should


observe wearing respectable clothes and refrain from wearing tattered
jeans, shorts and slippers and female students should not wear skimpy
outfits inside the school premises.

4. ORDER & CLEANLINESS


 IN REFERENCE TO RA 9729 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS CLIMATE
CHANGE ACT OF 2009 AND DEPED MEMORANDUM NO. 133, S.2014

It is very important that every Impalutao Integrated School National High


School Students should be aware of the importance of keeping things cleanly
and orderly.

a. Garbage should be placed in garbage cans or boxes. Everybody should


refrain from throwing litters everywhere.
b. All lights should be switched off after using.
c. Respective classrooms and assigned areas should be cleaned. Doors and
windows should be closed after cleaning in the afternoon.
d. Throwing of garbage should be done during scheduled pick-up time/cleaning
period
e. Students are not allowed to write notices on bulletin boards without
permission from the proper authorities & clubs. Organization bulletin boards
should be kept clean and orderly. The principal should sign any bill to be
posted within the school premises.

5. ATTENDANCE
 AS STATED IN DO 18, S. 1991 –POLICY ON ABSENTEEISM AND
TARDINESS
Prompt and perfect attendance is the desired goal of the school. However,
students may be guided by these school regular activities schedule.

a. Flag ceremony will only be done Monday and Flag retreat will be held every
Friday afternoon.
b. All students are required to attend the flag ceremony in the morning every
Monday and during the flag retreat every Friday.
c. Students must not be absent without a valid reason.
d. Upon the return of the absentee student, he/she must present a signed note
from his/her assigned prefect of discipline. Students who are absent for
considerably long periods are required a letter from the parents or guardian
together with a medical certificate if hospitalized to be issued an admission
slip.
e. Any student who is absent for at least five consecutive days should be
referred to the guidance office for counseling.
f. A student who is habitually tardy is required to bring his/her parents or
guardians for conference with the Guidance Counselor at an appointed time.

6. DISCIPLINE AS STATED IN THE DEPED ORDER NO. 1, S. 2003

School regulations are there for the good of everybody. Discipline shall be
imposed as an aid towards the formation of character. The objective is for
development of self-discipline.

a. Upon enrolment, it is understood that students and the parents/guardians


shall comply with all the rules and regulations of the school.
b. A student shall respect authorities and shall give due respect to everybody.
c. A student who fails to comply the recommended sanctions shall not be re-
admitted to Impalutao Integrated School for the next school year.
d. Students on provision are required to sign an official provisionary contract
together with their parents and guardian.
e. The adviser should follow up in the monitoring form every day, call the parents
of student violators and submit to the office of the Committee on Discipline.
f. Offence and Penalties

1. Minor Offences
 Not attending the Flag ceremony as stated in RA No. 8491
otherwise known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the
Philippines and DO 50, s. 2015.
 Disrespecting the Philippine National Flag during Flag
ceremony as stated on DO 50, s. 2015
 Habitual Tardiness as stated in DO 18, S. 1991 – Policy on
Absenteeism and Tardiness
 Habitual Absenteeism as stated in DO 18, s.1991 – Policy on
Absenteeism and Tardiness
 Cutting Classes as stated in DO 90, s. 1997 - Prohibiting
Students from Visiting Nearby Malls During Class hours
 Littering inside the school campus RA 9729 OTHERWISE
KNOWN AS CLIMATE CHANGE ACT OF 2009 AND DEPED
MEMORANDUM NO. 133, S.2014
 Using of CELLULLAR PHONES during classes as stated in DO
83, s.2003
 Wearing of earrings for boys
 Wearing more than 1 set of earrings for girls
 Dishonesty
 Improper behavior during assemblies, programs, masses and
other activities.
 Uttering bad/hurting, libelous words and bad expressions
 Getting out of the school campus during school hours without
permission. DO 90, s. 1997 - Prohibiting Students from Visiting
Nearby Malls During Class hours
 Loitering around the school while classes are going on.
 Horse playing inside the classroom.

Sanctions: 1st offense- Reprimand/Counseling by the adviser


2nd offense-reprimand / counseling after a conference with the
GC, PD, Parents/ Guardians.
3rd offense- the Student is considered as a habitual offender and
his acts shall be considered as a major offense. The student is
then suspended for Three (3) days under parent supervision.
4th offense- meeting with parents with the committee on child
protection shall then be commenced for the child’s endorsement to the
barangay child protection committee for community service of 20 hours.
The said service shall be done after school or from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
for 20 working days.

Failure to complete the said community service shall extend it


to 90 hours or 90 working days.

2. Major Offences
 Drunkenness/ Coming to school under the influence of liquor or
any other drugs violating the RA 9165, Anti Dangerous Drug
Act;
 Fighting/Boxing as stated in DM No. 193, s. 2017
 Smoking/Drug using or possession violating the RA 9165, Anti
Dangerous Drug Act;
 Vandalism and graffiti DepEd ORDER. No. 18, s. 2015.
 Carrying/ Cancelling deadly weapons as stated on Act No. 1780
 Assaulting/threatening school authorities as stated in Article 282
of the Revised Penal Code
 Disrespecting school officials and staff as stated in Article 282 of
the Revised Penal Code
 Forging/falsifying/tampering public documents as stated in
Article 171, paragraph 4 of the Revised Penal Code
 Gambling OF ANY KIND AND FORM as stated in the P.D. No.
1602
 Possessing pornographic materials as stated in DO no. 40, s.
2012 and DO 83, s. 2003
- including cell phone videos displaying pornography or
nudity. Magazines, sketches and drawings.
 Organizing unauthorized organizations/gangs
 Stealing/ THEFT as stated on R.A. 120
 Acts of lasciviousness as stated in R.A. 7610 ( The Child Abuse
Law) in Articles 336 and 339
 Gross dishonesty
 Gross misconduct
 Immorality- engaging in sexual acts inside the school campus
 Threats or intimidation of any kind as stated in R.A. 9262

Sanctions:

1st Offence-meeting with parents for counseling and reprimand.

2nd Offence-meeting with parents and warning for transfer is issued.

3rd Offence- offense- meeting with parents with the committee on child
protection shall then be commenced for the child’s endorsement to the
barangay child protection committee for community service of 20 hours.
The said service shall be done after school or from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
for 20 working days.

1. Teenage Pregnancy- pregnant students are considered as victims and


should be given assistance by the school.

Note: Pregnancies should be reported to the Guidance Office and be recommended


for the Open High School Program as stated in Republic Act 10354.

2. Bullying and Retaliation- Deliberation of the case shall be done by the


school child protection committee. Rights of both parties involved shall be
respected. If found guilty, the bully shall be advised to transfer to another
school immediately. This is stated in the DepEd Memorandum No. 5, s. 2017
STUDENTS RIGHTS AND PREVILEDGES

Rights

1. The right of membership to the School Community

Each student is authorized to join in different school clubs and organizations


(YES-O, Math, AP, English, Filipino, MAPEH, STEP, SSG & other recognized
school organizations)

2. The right to be heard in accordance with the rules governing the fundamental
rights of freedom of speech and natural justice.

Privileges

1. The privilege of using the name of the School to protect themselves in all
honest and lawful transactions.
2. The privilege of using school facilities to enhance the attainment of their
ultimate objectives in the School
3. The privilege to be certified at the end of their degree programme at the
School upon satisfaction of the requirements
4. The privilege of receiving medical care on campus within the limits of the
available resources provided they have been duly registered at the School
Health Centre

Obligations

Consequent upon the rights and privileges the School confers on students as
members, they are obliged to:

1. Observe the rules and regulations governing academic programs such as


registering for courses as well as sitting for examinations at the appropriate
times
2. Respect and obey constituted authorities of the School
3. Show consideration for other students and for staff of the School
4. Treat all School property with care
5. Observe rules and regulations of the School Halls of Residence if they live in
one or when visiting the same.
6. Abstain from doing anything whatsoever that can bring the name of the
School into disrepute or embarrass its authorities.

7. GRADING SYSTEM

WW-PT-QA Grading System


The second system, in contrast, is under D.O. No. 8, s.2015 effective school year 2015-
2016. Unlike the first one, the new k to 12 grading system used fewer components and
launched a new conversion table. Public schools from kindergarten to senior high school
should use it. In the same way, it asks non-DepEd schools to apply the changes, too.

Under this order, the results of the components of the summative assessment such as
Written Work, Performance Tasks, and Quarterly Assessment will form the bases for the
grade computation.

New Grading Components for Grades 1-10

1. Written Work (WW) – makes sure students can express skills and contents in written
form.
2. Performance Task (PT) – lets learners show what they know and can do in diverse
ways.
3. Quarterly Assessment (QA) – measures student learning at the end of the quarter.

Provisions, amendments and ratification of the school rules and
policies shall only be in the event of the new laws and provision in the
Philippine Constitution and immediate needs unforeseen by the body.
