OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to tell at least three countries
they are from and their nationality.
Complementary Learning objective:
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to ask and answer at least three
questions about where they are from and their nationality correctly.

ACTIVITIES: : 1. Teacher divides pupils into groups.
PRE-LESSON 2. Teacher distributes flag puzzles to each group.
3. Pupils assemble the puzzle pieces and shout out the name of the country
whoever finish first.
4. Pupils paste the puzzles on the board
5. All the pupils name the country of the flags.

LESSON : 1. Teacher introduces nationality for each country.


DEVELOPMENT 2. Pupils practise in groups by matching the flashcard of the country to the
word cards of nationality.
3. Teacher models the speaking frame.
4. Pupils listen and repeat.
5. Teacher plays the soundtrack.
6. Pupils are drilled on the sentence pattern
Where are you from? I’m from Brazil. Oh, you’re Brazilian.
Where are you from? I’m from Mexico. Oh, you’re Mexican.
7. Pupils practise in pairs. Flashcards are assigned to the weaker pupils.
Good pupils can randomly choose the country. (differentiation by
support)
8. Teacher randomly chooses a few pairs to perform the dialogue in front of
the class. *Teacher assigns country for the weak pupils. *Pupils assign
the country for the good pupils.
9. Teacher chooses some pupils to give feedback afterwards.
10. Teacher gives feedback by following the model of medals and missions.
POST LESSON : 1. Teacher distributes flashcard of flags and word cards for nationality to
pupils.
2. Pupils find their pair.
3. Teacher checks and praises pupils.
