The team at people’s union for civil liberties which includes Mr. Babu Lal Verma and Mr. Pappu (Centre for equity studies workers) first discovered a case near Mannsarovar metro station during the street medicine program . The patient was suffering from continuous chest pain and chronic cough . He was there in a very terrible state with no one to look after. During the visit to mannsarovar in the street medicine programme the patient visited regularly with the same problem and same symptoms . Our doctor suggested him to pay a visit to hospital as the symptoms signifies him suffering from Tuberculosis. Patient was not capable enough to go pay a regular visit to hospital and was not accustomed to the ways of treatment been done .So during the follow up process which included two interns including myself and two other co ordinators went to TB hospital, Subhash Nagar to get the treatment done . And made a proper treatment done of TB where it was traced that he was actually suffering from the T.B. and after discussing from him about his family past we came to know that his sister as well as his brother in law was suffering from this same disease in past and now it got transferred to him .He has been suffering from this disease from his childhood . He said he has gone for his treatment once already before but did not recover properly.Talking about his addictions he said he had none . But now since he is in good hand we expect him to recover soon and CEC team would take full care about his medicines and time to time appointment with the doctors .
