Memory Adapter Tool (MAT)
The memory adaptor tool stores data within its internal memory. A casing collar
locator (CCL) is contained in the adaptor, a separate Gamma Ray Tool is required
for operation. The MAT tool uses a lithium battery pack as its power source.

4
Gamma Ray
The Gamma Ray Tool detects naturally occurring and artificially induced gamma
ray radiation. Use the Gamma Ray to correlate well lithography.
Gamma ray logs are useful for recording induced radiation. Tracer log determine
fluid movement by tracing radioactive iodine ejected into wellbores. Radioactive
sand can also be traced to determine the direction of fractures.

5
Gradiomanometer
Use this tool to establish the density of fluids or gasses in a well, and the
depths of water/oil, water/gas, and oil/gas contacts are established from this
information.
The Gradiomanometer is used with other tools in a tool string, and transmits its
data to either the Telemetry tool or the Memory Adapter Tool (MAT).

6
Dielectric
The Dielectric tool measures the capacitance of fluid that passes between the
tool’s probe and body. Use this measurement to determine water percentage
and to locate first water entry (commonly referred to as fluid capacitance, water
hold-up, or water cut.)
In an observation well (with no flow,) the Dielectric tool records where different
well contents, such as water, oil, solvents and gas are located. Over time, the
measurements indicate how fluids are shifting in level.
Measures fluid capacitance (also known as “water hold-up” or “water cut”) between
probe and tool body

Tracer Ejector
The Tracer Ejector Tool use a pressure balanced chamber to eject radioactive
iodine. It is used in the identification of flow behind the casing and determines
both fluid velocity and direction.

Dual Gamma Ray
The Dual Gamma Ray Tool employs two sensitive sodium iodide scintillation
crystals and two photomultiplier tubes to detect gamma ray radiation. Use the
tool to correlate to the surrounding lithology of the well.
Dual Gamma ray logs are useful for recording induced radiation. A tracer log can
determine fluid movement by tracing radioactive iodine ejected into the wellbore.
Radioactive sand can also be traced to determine the direction of fractures.

logging down. It can also log up into a small diameter restriction without locking
up the arms.

Knuckle Joint
The Lee Specialties Knuckle Joint is generally wireline deployed, though it can be
used in conjunction with a tool string powered by a MAT (Memory Adapter Tool)
connected to coil tubing or slickline.
The Knuckle Joint can pivot 10° thanks to its ball connector sub. This pivoting
ability aids movement of a tool string through deviated, misaligned, or horizontal
wells. It also allows a tool string to be de-centralized.

11
Roller Centralizer
The Roller Centralizer is a mechanical device that centralizes a tool string while
it is run in or out of the wellbore. Carbide rollers on the contact points prevent
movement from wearing out the arms as they expand and contract to fit the
wellbore.
The Roller Centralizer is positioned anywhere within the tool string except below
the PTF (pressure temperature flow) tool. Often, two Roller Centralizers are used
in a string, one at the top and one near the bottom, to further increase the strings
stability.

Bowspring Centralizer
The Bow Spring Centralizer is a mechanical device used to centralize the tool
string while it is ran in and out of a cased or tubed well. Centralizing the toolstring
helps prevent it from getting stuck downhole. The Bow Spring Centralizer
is positioned anywhere within the tool string except below the PTF (pressure
temperature flow) tool. Often, two Bow Spring Centralizers are used in a string,
one at the top and one near the bottom, to further increase the strings stability.

Inline Flowmeter
measurement. At high flow rates, the flowmeter is similarly reliable due to the
precision bearings employed in the assembly.
The tool transmits data from the transducer (pressure and internal temperature)
serially to a telemetry tool, which transfers data to a surface acquisition system,
or to a memory adapter, which stores data within internal memory.

Fullbore Spinner
The Fullbore Spinner is a versatile and reliable fluid velocity measurement tool
that incorporates a collapsible impeller that allows the spinner to be run through
tubing and expand into a large diameter casing. This design provides a velocity
measurement of a large cross-sectional area. The sensitivity of a Fullbore Spinner
results in accurate flow measurement across a well diameter.
