"Seinen" knocks the living daylights out of your

mind each and every time you indulge in animé/
manga of the said genre.It portrays the dark
sides of the society which are generally excluded
in Shounen.It shows to what lengths certain
individuals with twisted mentalities can go to so
as to satisfy their own selfish means or to serve
their self-righteousness.These animé/manga
generally specialize in gory details and are
certainly not advised to people with weak
hearts.Some of the scenes can make you feel
the characters' sufferings and agony.The target
audience of this genre are young men and adults
in the age group 15-50.No,this doesn't go to say
that girls don't dig this genre because believe me,
although rarely,you'll find women with a
heightened addiction to this genre(Personally I'd
kill to marry an woman with such tastes). Most
of the times, Shounen becomes predictable but
the same doesn't hold true for Seinen.The plot
can literally skyrocket from a jovial one to
becoming serious to the point you'll be busting
your balls to calm yourself.
The best of this genre include One punch
man,Tokyo Ghoul, Parasyte the maxim,
Erased,Elfen Lied,Gantz,Berserk,Air
Master,Chobits,Kingdom and Vinland Saga.Once
you get into this genre,you can't stop yourself
from searching every nook and corner of the web
to find more anime/manga with this
genre.Awesome fights,great character
development and beautiful artwork are some of
the perks that come with these kinds of Anime/
manga.Said manga/anime will change your view
of the world as already mentioned and gives a
hard time to people who have a superficial and
sugercoated view of the world.So,let them be the
pretentious neanderthals they are.Try this genre
and see for yourself.
